The changes of which you know are initial ones, that will not affect you as directly, or rather as beneficially as you might suppose, but will initiate changes that will affect you beneficially.

The process has begun, in other words. A grab bag has been set up, and the grab bag is good, but you are not to grab for you will be offered what you want as these changes continue to develop. Play a waiting game. It will be to your advantage.

S A R. The three exert considerable pressure, or pull. The short man is out. But the way things are changing, I believe you will stay in this area of the country, though not necessarily at your particular location, and perhaps in a different capacity, though in a freewheeling basis.

Events as you know of them right now are transient. There will be further changes, and these will be to your advantage, if I understand correctly your idea of advantage. The third party will be out. The scramble was initiated by a turnabout, and another turnabout is coming.

At a later date even the fabulous four will be unseated, but you should weather this. There is a Stan to be contended with. On your part the terms will be bettered. You may be expected to move now, but waiting for the further changes would serve your interests more. A paper is being drawn up, and I would suggest you hold out.

If you hold out your position will be strengthened. The man closest to you in the establishment will no longer restrain you. He is not in a position to, and his own position has changed. He is one of the pawns.

On your part the king is an unknown entity, but he will make a move. You are the bishop in the game. May should see evidence of the further changes. A quality that you think of as stable now is not. In other words I would suggest that you play it cagey for now.

The situation is not stable now. The elements in your mind that you consider stable are not. The elements will change at this point quickly.

The situation itself. It will soon change. A reaction on your part would be wasted, for the situation will soon change. The grab bag will not be taken away however. Its contents will change.

The situation will change further. You have correctly interpreted the change in values. But there will be further changes in the organization and personnel.

(John gave us much interesting background information about his company. He identified the short man who would be out as Jim Brady. John could not identify the S A R reference. John has already refused, he said, to commit himself re a promotion to Rochester. He said it was likely he would remain in this area of the country, that is, the northeast. Freewheeling basis would pertain to John’s interpretation, he said, of the changed mode of operation by which the pharmaceutical industry attempts to sell its products and its image.

Now. Four men were involved in the promotion of the man to whom you spoke. One of these will be out for all practical purposes. The others will begin to change the philosophy within the enterprise, so that the climate is more to your liking.
