“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(Just before 9 PM Jane had been telling me she was more aware of Seth’s presence preceding the session.)

Ruburt’s ability to allow me to speak without distortion has grown. There may be errors having to do with verbal interpretation. These occur in any communication of this kind, and we shall attempt to clear them up when I notice them, or you bring them to my attention.

Now you can indeed expect help from me when you request it. You can do so mentally and I will help you personally whether or not a session is involved. I will try to introduce into your mind when you request it, any particular information, or answer questions having to do with your development.

There were many roads you could have taken, in which case you would not have been able to communicate with me, nor I with you; and if this had not happened, that possibility of ideal fulfillment could not have occurred.

More “evidence” in quotes, of my independent existence will appear in direct proportion to your belief in it, and Ruburt’s. For as you believe in me you allow me to manifest more completely.

This has nothing to do with me, except that working together in our sessions helps me come through more completely. That is, I am not that gestalt formed by your united identities. That additional energy does help me communicate however.

You will have a more active part to play as a teacher than you now suppose. (To me.) You will spend later years lecturing in various cities, and your own artwork will be fulfilled. Ruburt has still, without realizing it consciously, made his decision, and through him signs will be given and words spoken, and a movement begun that will outlive you both.

The movement will be the material. It will make its mark because individual men will recognize its truth. Had I said this earlier Ruburt would not have believed me, and there are long years ahead of you, and developments that must come before perhaps you can see the truth behind these words.

I will let our friend off and close our session. He will learn to operate within this new trance state quickly. His intuitive knowledge however will become a part of his present personality. (Jane gestured, amused.) He will not turn into me. This is one of his secret worries, you see. (Partial laugh.) He is not going to give up fun, and become a long-faced spiritual fogy. Even I am not that.

(Jane asked me if I noticed any physical changes in her face toward the last, since she was so strongly aware of Seth. I could only say that for the last few paragraphs the set of her mouth and chin had seemed to me to be somehow different, older, not quite like the set I am used to. But I don’t believe any transmigration figured here. I think it quite possible that Jane’s emotional appreciation of the Seth personality accounted for the changes as she was involved in delivering the material.)
