SESSION 392

(John Bradley witnessed the session. The session started late because John arrived shortly before 9 PM, and we talked for a while first.

Some new developments should also occur in our sessions, as our reluctant medium finally comes to terms with me. (Smile, eyes open.) I am, you must admit Joseph, a very patient man.

The seance affair (last session) frightened the ego to some extent. As a whole personality now, Ruburt has found himself operating at prime efficiency in several late incidents, when the ego and intuitive self have worked in harmony. This is a promise of what he can expect with growing regularity.

The error having to do with the name Philip—the minister at one time in his life was called Phil. The upsetting circumstance mentioned—the decision—representing the basis of conflict that perpetuates many of his physical symptoms. This material was received last evening, and displaced in this evening’s session. It could have been delivered last evening, you see. (Long pause, eyes closed.)

It is unfortunate that the displacement in material occurred. Perhaps Ruburt can check some of this out, with what her student knows of the man’s background. I also believe he has another child from his past. We will now end the session. I believe, in fact, that Ruburt’s student will be able to collaborate some of that material.

(11:11. Such displacements of material have taken place occasionally. Jane found tonight’s event somewhat upsetting, making it difficult for her to continue the session in a relaxed manner. Hence the rather abrupt end to the session.)
