Good evening indeed to our friend. Now, give me a moment, please.
[... 5 paragraphs ...]
Now. (Pause.) Ruburt has only now begun to take those necessary steps that lead to total commitment. His personality is so constructed that he cannot give time, without conflict, to any matter to which he is not totally committed, or to any matter about which he has any serious doubt.
Now surely to our friend Philip, Ruburt has certainly appeared committed enough to our ventures. He has not been totally committed, however, and as you know, wholeheartedly accepted my august presence. (Smile.)

Now we shall put this plainly, for his ego has indeed distrusted his intuitional self, and has been jealous of it. There has been a spiritual expansion occurring however that is responsible for these recent gains, and the late difficulty in sleeping has been the result of a flare-up, a last struggle, on the part of the ego; a rather weak offensive.
The seance affair (last session) frightened the ego to some extent. As a whole personality now, Ruburt has found himself operating at prime efficiency in several late incidents, when the ego and intuitive self have worked in harmony. This is a promise of what he can expect with growing regularity.
I wanted to give you this information now. You may take a break, and we shall turn to some other material; and I shall not so ignore the presence of our friend.

Now, give us a moment. (Pause, voice much quieter.) This will apply to our friend Philip. These are impressions. (Long pause.)
We are dealing now with a more comprehensive period. I will give the impressions as they come. I believe these relate to the past. G A R. 1947—a spectacular event, or an event deeply affecting him. (Pause.)
Disconnected from that, two women, one older than the other, I believe related, perhaps though not necessarily sisters. One with brown hair. Connection with Mary, or the initial M. (Pause.) I will try to designate by using the word “now” the separation between impressions.
[... 1 paragraph ...]
Now. A connection with a young man who played football. Now either there is an Ohio connection with him, or his name began with an O, and was short. Another young woman beside his wife, with a name much like hers, this Mary connection still returning.
Now. A Mississippi connection. A professor, this separate again, who particularly had Philip’s respect or notice. On the lean side, glasses. F O B connected with him, and a connection with economics or mathematics. (Pause.) Two children.

Now you may take a break and we shall continue.

Now. We do apologize.

Now give us a moment, though we shall not keep you much longer. The minister, by the way, was recently from a town—Allison, or Addison. Perhaps this at least you can check for your purposes with Ruburt’s student. (Venice McCullough, at whose home Jane spoke.

Within a month, at the most two months, I believe, an offer, now to our Philip, of a new position. The neck difficulty (John B.’s) caused by inner conflict, resulting in a slight misalignment of the 4th vertebra. (Long pause.)
It is unfortunate that the displacement in material occurred. Perhaps Ruburt can check some of this out, with what her student knows of the man’s background. I also believe he has another child from his past. We will now end the session. I believe, in fact, that Ruburt’s student will be able to collaborate some of that material.
