This is the only basis for any belief, regardless of rationalization. Intellectual acceptance of me as a complete survival personality will follow the intuitive knowledge. The intellect will never, alone, convince the emotions of any fact.

(Jane knows nothing about any argument between Blanche and Anne. Nor is she sure how she could check out personal material of this kind. Jane however lived in Baltimore for almost a year and ate quite a few times at Anne’s house, in 1951-52. Blanche did not live in Baltimore then but visited fairly often.

Before this he did not dare rock the boat, to his way of thinking. He did not believe I was a survival personality strongly enough to request that I even try to convince him.

His desire will also serve as a spur. Before we did not have it to work with. The personality is preparing itself, indeed, to enter completely and wholeheartedly into this adventure. It cannot be otherwise.

He had been fighting his own intuitional knowledge. This is one of the main reasons that he did not publish a meaningful book earlier. He had the ability, very strong creative energies, but he did not have the idea or principle to unite him as a personality and focus his energies. This has been given to him, though it has taken work on his part.
