“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(Before the session tonight Jane wondered whether Seth could put her in touch with Blanche in some way, perhaps through a table. Jane also wanted some kind of definite sign from Seth as to his presence and identity, that would be convincing to her.

Now. Our friend Ruburt was bound to come to this point. Regardless of what he believes about himself, his complete belief in me will only be arrived at intuitively and emotionally.

I will bring about the circumstances with his intuitive help.

(A long pause, well over one minute; eyes closed.) His poetry copies were in a room predominantly blue, light blue, and pink. (Pause.) The file cabinets were beneath another piece of furniture, or a top board of some kind. (Pause.) There was some question as to what would happen to letters from Ruburt, and others. The letters are still in a strongbox, and have not been destroyed, but Anne Healy does not have them. They have been overlooked. (Long pause.)

Before this he did not dare rock the boat, to his way of thinking. He did not believe I was a survival personality strongly enough to request that I even try to convince him.

I am speaking now of the egotistical Ruburt, you understand. Now his desire will bring results. Before, no results would have been accepted by him.

His desire will also serve as a spur. Before we did not have it to work with. The personality is preparing itself, indeed, to enter completely and wholeheartedly into this adventure. It cannot be otherwise.

He had been fighting his own intuitional knowledge. This is one of the main reasons that he did not publish a meaningful book earlier. He had the ability, very strong creative energies, but he did not have the idea or principle to unite him as a personality and focus his energies. This has been given to him, though it has taken work on his part.

The time was bound to come, for wholehearted acceptance. Before he did not wish for it. Now that he does, we will be able to bring it about. I have always gone as far in this direction as Ruburt would allow me to go, for I have had his health and welfare to consider.

Ruburt has learned considerable control over his physical body, quite without realizing it, as a result of his difficulties. The control will serve us well, and allow the spontaneous self more freedom in sessions.

(After sending J. P. a copy of the last session, the 388th, held December 20, we recently received a very pleased letter from him. He reported that his wife seemed better, that he himself understood more now, and that he had some unasked questions for Seth.)

My heartiest wishes, and we shall see each other shortly, under good conditions. In this case Ruburt shall see me also. Then with his full cooperation we can really begin our work.
