The transition was relatively smooth under the circumstances of a first try. This experience gave him confidence to continue later with his students, you see.

(See the 348th session for this prediction, given on June 21, as Jane was making preparations for her ESP classes.)

I will go into some material concerning Frederick Fell. You remember that I told you that affairs with him would work out well. (A faint smile. Seth gave us this prediction perhaps two years ago.) Unfortunate expectations and various projections operated here however, but the intuitive background was enough to wipe these out within an instant of your first meeting. This was no coincidence.

(As Seth says, a remarkable and instant liking sprang up between F. Fell, Jane and me when we first met in his office. Jane and I were surely surprised, and suspect that Fred was also. A couple of weeks after our return from New York City, Fred wrote Jane a glowing letter.)

You stopped worrying about your car, and focusing upon it and upon its age and condition. (Pause.) The trouble was caused mentally, and the condition corrected mentally when you released the mechanism from a negative attention.

(Here Seth refers to a remarkable, overnight resurgence in the improvement in the way our Ford runs. Remarkable is not too strong a word for the car’s improvement, literally overnight, in operation two weekends ago. All summer it had been limping along; it could not be driven more than 35 to 40 miles per hour without a strong vibration throughout, and any attempts at a higher speed seemed to be outright dangerous. The garage that services it said it was unsafe to be used outside the city limits, for fear of breakdown, etc.

(I wanted more data re the car’s trouble and cure, but wasn’t sure it was a good idea to ask Jane more specific questions at this time. I knew she probably also preferred a shorter session tonight. After the session I asked Jane to keep in mind that the car could be discussed again.)
