Now (smile), my friend Ruburt does not need to worry. I shall not desert him. Our relationship will be a steady and enduring one. His abilities are being further developed, however, and other facets will also make themselves known. I will usually be behind him in these endeavors, and he will be learning with my guidance. I will continue to speak to you in this manner also, however.

The abilities had been developing but he did not have sufficient energy to use his growing proficiency. I did indeed begin as usual in the Gallagher session, and then I retreated more to the background, so that he could become more familiar with the immediacy involved in going after such data.

I told him that at the end of the summer he should have 7 students, and so he has.

The class will grow. I will have more to say concerning the class and the future of such work shortly. I will also take time to reconcile two points with which he is having difficulty, and to answer any questions that either of you might have since we have last held a quiet session.

A fine torch. This I believe a Jesuit quote. He assumes an attitude that he does not feel, because of a particular situation. He pretends something. This attitude is toward other people. It is a moment of falseness for him.

Unless unforeseen, drastic changes occur, Ruburt will regain excellent and exuberant health, now, without doubt. His energies and abilities will emerge highly strengthened, reinforced, and developed. This would have occurred in any case. Unfortunately, for many reasons, he chose a hard road, rather than an easier one.

He taught himself the hard way, in other words, out of a lack of faith and expectation.

I told him to be patient here. He will succeed, and do well. Not overnight, but in a relatively brief time. It goes without saying that he must concentrate his energy in that direction in order to achieve the best possible success. He is doing very well. I believe he will have two more students between now and the 10th of October.

They will be steady ones. He is drawing to him students who will work out well.
