(Jane began speaking in a good voice, more emphatic than usual; her eyes opened at times, her pace was average.)

It is some time indeed since I have had the pleasure of their company, although I have looked in on them.

Madison Avenue and tactics and a tall, fairly well-proportioned gentleman with a striped tie. An initial encounter here. Perhaps our friend meets him for the first time, or sees him clearly for the first time.

Toomey or Tomey (my phonetic interpretation) and 95601. (Pause.) The Midwest connection again, though at this time I cannot be more specific. A mill or mileogram (my interpretation), Seven, perhaps seventh floor.

Now I found intermission highly amusing. The conditions of which I have been speaking are one thing. As far as the effect of weather upon the moods of individuals, we do have something else. For the weather is created by you, on a subconscious level. The weather, at any given time, is a direct physical interpretation of the inner mass mind. You do indeed react, but you have already created the conditions, you see, and you then react to these in both psychic and physical ways.

(Here Jane’s voice grew uneven and quiet at times. I felt some alarm.)

(10:17 break. Jane had a time coming out of the trance. Her eyes wouldn’t open, etc. Peg said that the atmosphere bit fits perfectly and that she and Bill had suspected a couple of the points already. Peg says that H [the man] does believe he is acting in response to his superiors. Jane agreed with my idea that Seth put her into deeper trance in order to allow the material to come through [since it is emotional, related to friends and so forth. After five or ten minutes Jane felt better, and had a cigarette.]
