“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(Bill and Peggy Gallagher were witnesses to the session.

([Bill:] “Good evening, Seth.”)

([Bill:] “We appreciate it.”)

(Here Seth refers to Bill, who leaves for Syracuse tomorrow on a business trip for the Elmira newspaper.)

(9:15. Bill could not say much about Seth’s data. He said that Seth had correctly described the stout man with glasses, though the description was so general it could apply to many.

(9:40 break. At rest, Peg said that the above ideas fit into a pet theory of her own. Recently she conducted a small informal survey to discover the effect of weather upon human activities. Both Peg and Bill mentioned a chaotic state existing at the newspaper office where they work, though Bill said this was merely the result of a natural evolution of policies perhaps. Peg felt the situation was building up to some kind of climax; she spoke of small matters like limits being placed on personal phone calls, etc; various economies being instituted; the dissatisfaction of employees.

(Jane’s eyes closed. Her voice became slower. She had been holding a glass partially filled. Now it began to slip from her hand. Bill Gallagher took it out of her hand. Obviously she was going into a deeper trance and continued to do so as this material was delivered.)

(10:17 break. Jane had a time coming out of the trance. Her eyes wouldn’t open, etc. Peg said that the atmosphere bit fits perfectly and that she and Bill had suspected a couple of the points already. Peg says that H [the man] does believe he is acting in response to his superiors. Jane agreed with my idea that Seth put her into deeper trance in order to allow the material to come through [since it is emotional, related to friends and so forth. After five or ten minutes Jane felt better, and had a cigarette.]
