ESP CLASS SESSION

(Jane suggested that I sit in on and record this session for the regularly-scheduled ESP class she held on Thursday evening, February 8, 1968. She seldom asked me to do this, since after supper on any Thursday I’d be busy in my studio at the back of the apartment, typing up my crude homemade shorthand notes of the session she’d given the evening before for just the two of us.

(And once again, as she’d done for the session of last December 28, she wanted tonight’s material to be presented as part of regular Session 393. I was glad to do it—and note that Jane’s class sessions usually are in marked contrast to those we hold for ourselves, for books or whatever in the future. As would be expected of a gathering, class sessions were full of energy and repartee and questions and serious thinking both with and without Seth.

(And they were loud. Often I felt sorry for the other tenants in the big old apartment house we live in on West Water Street, in Elmira, New York. Our good friend Leonard Yaudes, who lives directly below us on the first floor, would sometimes leave the house on class nights. Yet he never complained.

(At times Jane and I have speculated about eventually publishing the class sessions—with the permission of those involved, of course—but have been so busy we haven’t tried to follow through.

I have been biding my time, seeking for the most auspicious moment in which to speak to you, and to announce my presence—for I am here in these classes, as indeed Ruburt knows that I am.

China and Egypt, lives in various religious capacities, however, without the necessary sense of responsibility. Unfortunately taking advantage instead of the fortunes made available to those in ruling classes throughout the ages. For this reason the abilities have not as yet come to fruition. Only in this existence is there finally some understanding, and a growing sense of responsibility. The personality in the past used psychic abilities for the wrong purposes. Therefore they did not fully develop and the personality was at a standstill.
