(Jane suggested that I sit in on and record this session for the regularly-scheduled ESP class she held on Thursday evening, February 8, 1968. She seldom asked me to do this, since after supper on any Thursday I’d be busy in my studio at the back of the apartment, typing up my crude homemade shorthand notes of the session she’d given the evening before for just the two of us.

(And once again, as she’d done for the session of last December 28, she wanted tonight’s material to be presented as part of regular Session 393. I was glad to do it—and note that Jane’s class sessions usually are in marked contrast to those we hold for ourselves, for books or whatever in the future. As would be expected of a gathering, class sessions were full of energy and repartee and questions and serious thinking both with and without Seth.

You are ready to expand your own consciousness. You are ready to learn about your past lives, and to prepare for your future ones. Do not be frightened of me. On occasion I can be a very humorous and kindly gentleman. This evening however I am concerned with your education, and when I am concerned with your education I am apt to be rather dry.

All of those now in this room are coming close to their last reincarnations, and when these are done you must know yourselves thoroughly. It has been meant that help be given to you. It is also meant that you use your own abilities. Therefore, for most of you there are two or three existences in the physical plane still left for you. If you do not understand yourselves there will be more.

Subconsciously you all know this, and so you come here, and because you have come here do I speak to you.

(Now Jane speaking as Seth, pointed to Connie.) One I have known vaguely in my own past. However you would not recognize me now, though I do indeed remember you. Now, you would not know yourself, for you were a small boy of three to four years old when I knew you, and I did not know you well. This was in Denmark, and your father was a baker. You had indeed a very short life, dying at nine or ten, of diptheria. You see, you are older than you knew you were.

Within you there is indeed innate knowledge of all the selves that you have been, and of all the selves that you shall be, and this knowledge sustains you even when you do not know consciously that it exists.

However, you will reincarnate whether or not you believe that you will. It is much easier if your theories fit reality, but if they do not, then you do not change reality one iota. Give us a moment here.

Now, (in a quieter voice) I am here this evening merely to tell you that I am here. I am not here to do wonders. I am here to tell you that I have survived physical death, and that you have survived physical death time and time again. Quite simply, this is my message to you this evening, and I bid you a fond good evening…

And I am aware of many things that you think and do not say. Do not be afraid of old age, you who are so young, for you have been old many times before. And you are young now, and you learned from each lifetime, as indeed you shall learn from this lifetime. (Smile.

(Seth pointed to Jean Kluft.) Here… Mesopotamia, before it was known by that name. (Pause.) And here we do find abilities shown, ignored and misused through a succession of lives. A rather classic example of the progress followed by many psychically-endowed, but in poor control of their personalities and abilities.

Now, my dear friend Joseph, I have Ruburt in a good state. Do you have any questions for me that can be answered here now?

[... 4 paragraphs ...]

You must perceive what you do of reality through your physical senses, but your physical senses distort reality. They present reality to you in their own way. The physical senses can only perceive reality a little bit at a time, and so it seems to you that one moment exists, and is gone forever, and the next moment comes, and like the one before it disappears. But everything in the universe exists at one time, simultaneously, and the first words ever spoken still ring throughout the universe; and in your terms the last words ever spoken have been said time and time again, for there is no ending and no beginning. It is only your perception that is limited.

Reality is not limited. There is no past, present and future. These only appear to those who exist within three-dimensional reality. Since I am no longer within it, I can perceive what you do not see. But there is a part of you that is not imprisoned within three-dimensional reality, and that part of you knows that there is no time, that there is only an eternal now; and that part of you that knows is the whole self, the inner personality that knows all of your lives.
