I want to give you some idea of the conditions that you may expect to meet in any successful projections, so that you will be prepared to some extent. For simplicity’s sake we shall call the body forms of which we spoke in our last session, forms one, two and three.

However you might be attracted enough to project yourself spontaneously into the body of one of the soldiers, in which case you could experience pain, until your own fear pulled you back. What is required is a steady maintenance of identity, under conditions which will be new as far as your conscious awareness is concerned. In the cases about which we have been speaking, I cannot emphasize too strongly that actual projection into other dimensions occurs. Many such instances are often considered mad dreams, because there is no way to check against physical events. The events never happened in physical terms.
