“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(Yesterday we received Dr. Instream’s letter of October 11, in which he asked that Seth try giving data on one location and one object in the clairvoyant tests.

(I wasn’t decided whether to ask Jane to hold an envelope test. On the one hand I didn’t want her to feel I was pressuring her for a test every session; on the other hand I wondered whether she would think I was taking it easy on her if I skipped the test. So I thought I would see what developed in the session.

The effect of any thought is a quite precise and definite one, that is set into motion specifically because of the nature of its own electromagnetic identity. The physical system operates best within certain electromagnetic patterns, and is adversely affected by others. These effects change the actual molecular structure of the physical cells of the organism, for better or for worse, and because of certain laws of attraction a habitual pattern will operate. A destructive type of thought, then, is dangerous not only for the present state of the organism, but dangerous in terms of the future.

Now we come to see one of the main points of this discussion. These therapeutic dreams, with practice, can be brought about through self-suggestion. To some extent this is not unknown. Various old cults have used this method, but it can be quite practical in modern life.

The suggestion itself, you see, being action, has its own electromagnetic reality, and since the suggestion would be a constructive one, it would already begin to set certain healing processes into motion, and spark the formation of others. This can be used to your advantage in daily life.

(Jane said she hadn’t been in a poor or depressed mood lately so much as a period of transition. Having finished one project, the ESP book, she was beginning a new venture, the book on the Seth material itself. At the same time she was casting about for another endeavor. Whether it would prove to be short stories, a novel or poetry, she did not yet know.

This is all fairly new to Ruburt, and he is doing very well. We shall make an effort to be more specific. But one must always read large print as a training before small print can be read with care or precision.

(I handed Jane the double test envelope at 10:15. I had decided to pass up the test for this session, and certainly had no thought that Seth would ask me for one.
