(The session was held in our back room. Just before it began Jane admitted, again, to a slight nervousness at the projected clairvoyant experiments involving Dr. Instream. She began speaking while sitting down and with her eyes closed. Her voice was quiet, in contrast to last night’s noisy unscheduled session. Her pace was slow, with many pauses. It was another hot and humid night.)

As leaves drop from the tree, so finally do dream images depart from close connection with the personality. Yet a psychic connection is always maintained to some degree. Dream images are often images which cannot be created for various reasons within physical reality at any particular time. Dream images may appear later however as physical images.

There are seasonal variations, temperature variations, electromagnetic and chemical reactions that all influence the production and efficiency of dream images, and that also influence the effect of dream images upon the individual. There is also, as I mentioned, a close relationship existing between dream images and other materializations, that are not ordinarily regular physical occurrences.

Since the individual creates his own physical image to begin with, then there is nothing so strange about his creation of a pseudophysical body which is not so closely dependent upon the physical system. Again however, such a pseudobody has electromagnetic and chemical connections that originate in the more usual physical image. In your field of activity this sort of connection must always exist.

(Break at 9:22. Jane was dissociated as usual for a first delivery. Her eyes remained closed, her voice quiet. Her pace had picked up considerably. The heat hadn’t bothered her, but as soon as break arrived she became aware of it.

(Break at 9:55. Jane was dissociated as usual. Her eyes had remained closed, her voice quiet. Her pace had picked up speed. She had some idea of what she had been saying, but didn’t think she had been speaking for any length of time.

(Since it was close to 10 PM, the hour suggested by Dr. Instream for clairvoyant contact with Seth, Jane told me she felt some nervousness, as she had the first time this experiment had been tried in the 189th session.

(As during the first experiment, Jane used many pauses. I will indicate just some of them. She began speaking in a very quiet voice. Her eyes were closed, her head down somewhat. Resume at 10:06.)

(Jane took a long pause at 10:14, sitting quite still and with her eyes closed.)

(I handed Jane the test envelope at 10:20. She sat quietly, holding it in her right hand, her eyes still closed.)

(Break at 10:26. Jane was dissociated as usual. Her eyes had remained closed, her voice quiet with many pauses. She opened the test envelope.

(Jane resumed in the same quiet voice, and with her eyes closed, at 10:42.)

Since we had an impromptu meeting last evening, we will close our session.
