(The session was held in our back room. Just before it began Jane admitted, again, to a slight nervousness at the projected clairvoyant experiments involving Dr. Instream. She began speaking while sitting down and with her eyes closed. Her voice was quiet, in contrast to last night’s noisy unscheduled session. Her pace was slow, with many pauses. It was another hot and humid night.)

(As during the first experiment, Jane used many pauses. I will indicate just some of them. She began speaking in a very quiet voice. Her eyes were closed, her head down somewhat. Resume at 10:06.)

Now. We will see what we can get. (Pause.) As these experiments with Dr. Instream continue Ruburt will rapidly be more at ease.

It is unfortunate that the idea of tests often disturbs the flexibility that is necessary in order to achieve results. That is, Ruburt, wanting correct information, (pause) has some tendency to want it so badly that the ego stiffens, forming barriers.

However Ruburt learns quickly, and in the long run this will not hamper us overmuch; (pause) and enough will come through in the meantime, I believe.

Now. These are my impressions. (Pause, at 10:11.)

Dr. Instream is now, or has been immediately preceding this hour, or will be immediately following this hour, in a meeting with many people. (Pause.) In a fairly large room, with one speaker, and then others for briefer periods of time. A brick building, the meeting not on the ground floor. (Pause.) His seat three to five seats from an aisle, nearly but not quite in the center of a row of seats.

(Jane took a long pause at 10:14, sitting quite still and with her eyes closed.)

This could be however a theater or theater building, but if so it is not (pause) on exact street level.

(Another long pause at 10:16.)

Slides or pictures may be shown. I believe he had two visitors today at his office, in particular. One not a student. (Pause at 10:19.)

Again, something to do with two people, perhaps several, both males and females. The idea of rock and water and many colors, and a connection with a note. (Pause.) A place which you have both visited. Numbers. Too many people for comfort. A border.

Again a multiplicity of design. Initials, I believe R. B. In connection with you, Joseph. Your handwriting on the back. (Pause.) Having to do with a familiar place, a tent, and a landscape of a landscape.

(Break at 10:26. Jane was dissociated as usual. Her eyes had remained closed, her voice quiet with many pauses. She opened the test envelope.
