A while earlier this evening Ruburt read something that made him wonder whether or not he had, or could develop, healing ability. I decided to speak about the general subject this evening.

Ruburt has for years done fairly well in this matter, automatically regulating large areas of his health, with as you know some small failures, such as the sinus condition mainly, and the faulty eyesight.

Now aside from these dietary suggestions, I also believe other patterns of behavior could be adopted. The isometric exercises, for now, are excellent and should be followed by both of you. The two Eastern exercises, done occasionally by Ruburt, should be adopted by you both as a matter of routine daily.

Ruburt should drink no more than five cups of coffee daily at the most. If he is not giving up his cigarettes, then as you suggested moderation should be used. The present fifteen a day will do for now, but this should be reduced to ten when it is feasible.

I mentioned in the past those suggestions given by Ruburt to himself, concerning the continued health of the physical organism. You should both utilize this practice. In our dream material we will go deeply into the nature of health suggestions given in connection with the dream situation, and such suggestions may be considered a part of this evening’s list. All of these—you may call them rules if you prefer—all of these rules then are for your own benefit, and are personalized, formed by me taking into consideration your own needs, strong points and weaknesses. Therefore they apply, the dietary suggestions and the exercise suggestions, to you only.

This should be done every night during your season, and will immeasurably help you. The same suggestions should be given by Ruburt for the sinus condition. He has helped your health often, automatically. He is a health-giving personality in this respect, generally speaking.

Ruburt has the impression of the school fence across the street from the house in which he lived, and he is thinking of a particular photograph of his own that involved his house, the street, part of the fence, and perhaps some children. We are letting all of this come through.

(Once again the test data was interesting. This was the first time, also, that Seth had separated his own data from that of Ruburt’s, or Jane’s. Refer to my tracing of the photograph on page 242. Seth’s data can be seen to apply rather directly, with the exception that the photo is of four people instead of three. This is dealt with after break, along with the matter of chimney shapes.

For one thing, we are trying to teach Ruburt preciseness in word formation. I am not able yet to give him a visual image during a test. Therefore the information must be passed on verbally.

Now, I knew this was a photograph. Ruburt however, through association, made certain deductions. He picked up from me the fact that children were involved. He picked up the road and the pyramid shapes. This led him to think of his old home, for in the afternoon the shadow of its roof threw a pyramid shadow form upon the road.

These tests are most advantageous, and should be continued. We will endeavor to teach Ruburt so that more precise data is received.
