“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(It will be remembered that it was at York Beach, in August 1963, that Jane and I saw the fragments we had ourselves created, according to Seth, in the dancing establishment called the Driftwood Lounge. This was some months before the sessions began. The snapshot was taken on the beach perhaps 200 yards from the Driftwood. For York Beach material see sessioms 9, 15, 17, 69, and 80 in Volumes 1 and 2.

Your own abilities, Joseph, have been at a plateau level, from which they will begin to rise, at which time another plateau will be reached, and the process continued. Such plateau levels are beneficial to the whole personality, since they allow time for adoptions.

We will see now what we can do with your own little test, and with our friend Ruburt.

(Jane does not know what association led her to mention a border of flowers. Most striking of all perhaps, she said that when she heard herself speak the initials J. B., she knew that Seth meant Jane Butts, the subject of the photograph. She recalls wondering at the time why she did not say her own name aloud. The reference to hills is clearly seen in the photo: Jane sits on a group of craggy high rocks on the Maine seacoast. With the figure painted out of the photo the rocks would easily resemble any number of aerial shots of denuded mountain ranges, or hills, depending on scale.

I may therefore myself congratulate him. There are few limitations upon what we can do, and most of these limitations are human limitations, existing on Ruburt’s part rather than on my own. He is quick to learn however, once he makes up his mind and is willing to learn.

I am interested in these matters because they will show the ways in which the personality handles such data. They will be demonstrations to point up our own text, because I will handle them in that way.

He will actually be building up confidence in me, and therefore he will allow me to come through when it is required that I do so in any investigations. For regardless of my own occasional irascibility with the behavior of your scientific communities, such men seek after truth, and there are few enough involved in that search.

The human personality has no limitations except those which it accepts. There are no limits to its development or growth, if it will accept no limits. There are no boundaries to the self except those boundaries which the self arbitrarily creates and perpetuates. There is no veil through which human perception cannot see, except the veil of ignorance which is pulled down by the materialistic ego.

It dwells in the physical universe, but it can indeed also perceive and appreciate other realities. The ego is part of the personality, and as such it can partake of sturdier, heartier, more vivid realities. The personality can dwell, and does dwell, in many worlds at once.

I myself operate well in that way. In many instances however data can be received in either manner, and telepathy may well be involved in other tests. I, for my own reasons and peculiarities, usually obtain such information clairvoyantly; and we will have much to say concerning the ways in which such information is received and interpreted, as this is very important.
