“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(Jane has been practicing psychological time regularly. She reports that she attains her usual good “state,” with little else happening. The only suggestions she gives herself now are to the effect that she is completely relaxed, and free of space and time. She used to use many more suggestions.

(It will be remembered that in the 140th session Seth suggested Jane avoid psychological time for a while, after she had unwittingly gone too far, too fast. A week later Jane resumed psy-time on a reduced time basis. Now, even though she is back up to her regular half-hour, she has had no experiences to speak of since then. She has however had some rather startling clairvoyant experiences outside of psy-time.

(It was a very hot and humid evening and we held the session in our large front room, where we have a cooler. Because our windows were open traffic noise was rather bothersome to me. Jane spoke while sitting down and with her eyes closed. Her voice was quiet—too quiet as it developed. I had trouble hearing her, and shortly after she began speaking she hiked her chair closer to my table, and her voice acquired a little more volume. She used many pauses.)

(Jane moved her chair closer again, after I had asked her to repeat a few words.)

(Since Seth began discoursing on dream suggestion and health in the 172nd session, both Jane and I have been experimenting with these ideas. Jane has had quite a few interesting dreams since then, as a result of her suggestions.)

(The above passage refers to tests Jane uses on herself. Sometimes these involve Dr. Rhine’s Zener cards, sometimes objects sealed in envelopes, etc. Jane has not really extended herself in such tests, mostly due to a lack of time. She is interested in learning what other abilities she may have, however, outside of these sessions.)

(Break at 9:22. Jane was dissociated as usual for a first break. Her eyes had remained closed; her voice had been loud enough to rise above the traffic noise. The noise had bothered me, but Jane said that as she was speaking she was aware of no distractions.

(Break at 9:48. Jane was dissociated as usual. Her eyes had remained closed, her voice had been a bit stronger, her pace had picked up quite a bit during the delivery. Her brogue had again been apparent at times.

(Jane now took a long pause, then smiled.)

(End at 10:20. Jane was dissociated as usual. Her eyes had remained closed. Her pace had been good, her voice average and with an occasional touch of brogue. The hot and humid evening had not bothered her during deliveries.)
