The sister knew all this in her way. And when your parents visited her, your mother and father played the part in the beginning of the grand lady and condescending gentleman, for your father considered tailoring beneath a man.

Your parents did not understand her when she spoke to them because they were both afraid to understand. There was nothing wrong with her mind. She simply did not bother focusing her energies upon practical matters, particularly during the last years, but she was quick spiritually.

You have been doing much better in relating yourself with your parents. You are learning that you need not go to extremes, for extremes of behavior will only serve to confuse them further, and also rob you of consistency and peace.

The sensations are a physical demonstration of an inner sense reaction on a psychic basis, or level, which you have not yet achieved, and cannot be expected to. The self would expand. In your relationship with your parents for example, such a psychic expansion of self would allow you to absorb your own awareness of their sometimes painful existence, and you would feel no wound yourself.
