“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(John Bradley, of Williamsport, PA, was a witness to the session. John has witnessed quite a few sessions and read much of the Seth material. Indeed, John was the first to witness a session, on February 18,1964. The last session he witnessed was on February 24,1965. See Volumes 1 and 3. John was in an excellent mood tonight.

(The session was held in our front room, and was free from interruptions. Once again Jane spoke at a fast rate; several times I had to ask her to slow down. As is often the case with witnesses, her delivery was much more active. Although her eyes remained closed for the whole session, her voice was loud and at times quite a bit deeper than usual. She was very restless in her chair, changing position often. It will be remembered that John’s entity name is Philip.)

(Jane smiled, and pointed to John. Her eyes were still closed. Her voice was now loud and active, with a strong edge.)

(Break at 9:20. Jane was well dissociated, far-out, she said. Her delivery had been very active, her voice loud at times, her pace fast, her eyes closed.

(She ended the session with a smile, referring to the survey discussed by John before the session began. This was a detailed psychological questionnaire that John had recently completed for his drug company, Searle. John felt that the questions were loaded, that his answers, which were very frank, would be used in considering him for advancement.

Since when does Ruburt stoop so low as to make fun of fools? If anything, the woman deserves pity, and hardly scorn. I was not pleased with that performance.

On the other hand, I did watch with some amusement as the scene was enacted in a small room, and as the ghosts were supposed to materialize in the doorway. I do therefore on the one hand somewhat appreciate Ruburt’s reaction. In one of my more friendly moods, I might indeed have tried a materialization of my own that would have frightened the poor woman out of her wits.

Nevertheless, I did not do so, and I feel duty bound to mention the fact that Ruburt’s performance was dishonest, and there was no good reason for it. It would be much better for him also if he stayed out of the investigation that he so gleefully entered into with Peggy Gallagher, concerning the so-called mediums in your town.

(Break at 10:00. Jane was again well dissociated. Her pace had been fast, and my writing hand was tiring. I had already asked Seth to slow down several times, and now at break asked Jane, as Jane, to see what she could do about the problem. In recent sessions her rate of speaking has pushed my writing ability to the limit, even with the rather elaborate system of symbols and abbreviations I have evolved for taking down the sessions.

(Break at 10:32. Jane was again well dissociated. She ended the delivery with a smile. Her pace of dictation had been so fast recently that I took a break whenever I could.

(This accent has been apparent in other sessions in a minor way at times. Perhaps I am more conscious of it recently because of the two Father Trainor episodes. See the 131st and the 158th sessions. During these readings Jane’s brogue was unmistakable. Jane grew up in an Irish neighborhood in Saratoga Springs, NY, and is a quarter Irish. She had no father at home, growing up as a child, but Father Trainor, a frequent visitor, was Irish.

(John Bradley said he was thoroughly convinced that a reorganization would have to take place in his company, that great financial losses were being suffered. This theme has run through Seth’s predictions concerning John’s company for the past year or so. John himself has suffered some paper losses in stock values, and is of course concerned.

(Jane’s brogue was now becoming more pronounced again.)

(End at 10:50. Jane was well dissociated—far-out, again. Her eyes had remained closed, her voice had been a little quieter.

There was in the past disagreement as to his capability in the field of human relationships, as far as the ordinary person is concerned. The impetus that allowed him to become involved is only too well now recognized within the company.

(End at 11:14. Jane was fully dissociated. She had no idea of the material. The delivery was totally unexpected, she said, a complete surprise to her. I was also surprised. Jane’s eyes had remained closed; her voice had been rather loud and fast.
