There is also another result of such relative ease of communication between the ego and the subconscious, in that the subconscious, which is listened to and taken into consideration by the ego, will have relatively little need to make its wishes known in other, perhaps less pleasant ways. Illnesses and various minor and major physical symptoms are often caused as the subconscious tries to speak out, in an effort to make itself heard by the unheeding conscious mind. If the conscious mind consults with the subconscious, such nagging or sometimes explosive efforts will not be needed.
