(February 12, Friday: While resting I heard or saw “Londondale,” and heard or saw words, “Our ways are not your ways.” Was Londondale a coat label? I also had a feeling of enlargement and projection, an inner projection. I felt filled and at the same time light, a resemblance to the way I felt when reading the poetry for the recorder, during the Father Trainor experiment yesterday. This feeling came upon me right after I had asked my subconscious to give me some idea of what had happened during the tape recording, when the voice I used seemed to belong more to Father Trainor than to me.

She thinks Seth is trying to make clear things that almost cannot be put into words, however; that while she sits waiting he assembles words for her to speak. Jane hears nothing within during pauses, all is quiet.
