SESSION 109

(Jane feels she could have had a session at about 3:30 PM, Saturday, after a rejection from Playboy arrived in the mail. The rejection slip was not accompanied by a letter and this made her angry. She thought of Seth’s statements in the 104th session, concerning a sale that “has developed,” and wondered just what the statement meant. She doubted its veracity. She then received from Seth, mentally, a firm statement repeating that a sale has developed. I was talking to her at the time but she did not mention the incident to me.

(Around suppertime Saturday when we were again discussing the matter of interpretation of prediction data, Jane again felt Seth nearby. This time she mentioned it to me but I left it up to her, as to whether she wanted a session. She did not take me up on the situation and so none was held.

(As session time approached Jane had no idea of the material for the session. She told me she “still feels funny” even after all this time, when she hasn’t any idea about the material to come.

(Break at 9:29. Jane was dissociated as usual. She put her glasses on as soon as break arrived. She said that while delivering the above material she felt a strong sense of certainty that the sessions did not come from her subconscious; she felt an energy she knew she did not have available ordinarily.

(Jane’s delivery had gradually become more emphatic as the session progressed, and she resumed in this more energetic manner, although still with pauses, at 9:35.)

I am again, not here praising the intuitions above the intellect. They are both intended for different purposes. They tune in on different realities, and all realities are actual. Nevertheless our last session, with its simplified explanation of development in terms that you can understand, should lead you to realize that because of the parallel development of the dream universe with the physical universe, the study of the dream universe will help you comprehend the basic inwardness behind the physical world that you inhabit.

For energy regenerates itself. And as I have told you consciousness, conscious energy, continually manifests itself in various forms. Now. Remember last session’s explanation of mental enclosures, composed of inward, individualized, aware energy, materializing itself in physical form, and at a particular point closing off and becoming more or less a closed system.

Now—you may take a break, or I will continue briefly; or you may at your pleasure end the session. I am that good-natured.

All the universes, while seemingly closed, have their origins one within the other. I mentioned sessions ago the connection between negative matter and positive matter, concerning the pulsations of energy into atoms in your universe. I also told you that you existed as long out of the physical universe as you existed in it, but I did not say that you existed identically.

(This last statement would refer to the 104th session, November 4, 1964. See pages 125-6. Here Seth made rather strong statements concerning sales by Jane of her writings. Since none have developed yet as far as Jane being notified is concerned, we wonder how we should interpret such material.)

Ruburt’s own experiments with predictions will accelerate his ability to let longer segments, concerning any one particular prediction, in our sessions to come through. You have received some quite legitimate bits and pieces, but the data have not been correctly correlated in your terms, so that you do not know how to put them together. But with practice there will be better, and if you will excuse the pun, more predictable results.

I will now close, though again I myself am in a frisky, companionable mood; and if you ever get your recorder serviced we can use it now and then, only on such instances; when the regular session is concluded and your hands are tired, we can chat.

(Seth has mentioned using the recorder before. I have wondered however just how much we will use it, when it is fixed. Usually by the end of a session Jane is tired, ready to quit. I would not be in favor of extending her labors in such cases. She would have to continue in the same manner as when dictating to me; my having a respite would do her no good.
