A small note here, mentioning a fact of which Ruburt is surely now aware. The momentary difficulty in the short story that he did not finish was simply caused by a very temporary relapse because of pressure: He did not wait for his subconscious to deliver an idea, as he has been long accustomed to doing.

(Now Jane smiled. She was quite amused as she paced about.)

(Jane had delivered the above material with many pauses, some of which were quite long. Now she looked at me and attempted by gestures to show what she meant. I nodded.)

For energy regenerates itself. And as I have told you consciousness, conscious energy, continually manifests itself in various forms. Now. Remember last session’s explanation of mental enclosures, composed of inward, individualized, aware energy, materializing itself in physical form, and at a particular point closing off and becoming more or less a closed system.

You will have to understand that I speak for simplicity’s sake, since no system is completely closed. Now. We have not said nearly enough about the dream universe, to really launch a discussion concerning its by-product. Nevertheless I shall tell you that its by-product is the world of negative matter.

Indeed, I now have two advance orders for work not yet finished; this is the first time I have been in such a pleasant position, as far as selling paintings goes.)
