“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(Jane feels she could have had a session at about 3:30 PM, Saturday, after a rejection from Playboy arrived in the mail. The rejection slip was not accompanied by a letter and this made her angry. She thought of Seth’s statements in the 104th session, concerning a sale that “has developed,” and wondered just what the statement meant. She doubted its veracity. She then received from Seth, mentally, a firm statement repeating that a sale has developed. I was talking to her at the time but she did not mention the incident to me.

(Around suppertime Saturday when we were again discussing the matter of interpretation of prediction data, Jane again felt Seth nearby. This time she mentioned it to me but I left it up to her, as to whether she wanted a session. She did not take me up on the situation and so none was held.

We have spoken concerning the relative impossibility of first origins as you consider them, occurring at a particular point in your time. Inward, individualized, aware energy existed before the conception of your time, your time obviously being an interpretation of the spacious present, from which all creation not only originally began but continues in terms of value fulfillment. Without such a development before the conception of your time, indeed, your universe would never have come into existence.

To those who ask concerning the origin of that inward energy you may say that the inwardness came from itself. In the spacious present there simply is no past. There can be no point of origin in time as you conceive it. It is only within your camouflage perspective that this remark appears illogical, but this does not mean that you still cannot grasp some of its meaning, using your own inner experience.

It is true that physical stimuli may signal a dream, but the stimuli, the physical stimuli, does not actually signal the beginning of the dream; but it calls your attention to the dream, which has been in progress, as if you walked into a darkened theatre and began to see portions of a production which had been going on.

These are not mysteries. You have simply not tried to understand them. Actually your physics will soon glimpse the truths behind these statements, but they will merely glimpse possibilities.

The first origin, my dear friends, is constantly reoccurring, but never in the same or exact manner, never in terms of a rehappening or of a record played over and over.

With his intellectual appreciation of the benefits of fire that followed his physical mastery of it, then his dream universe became enriched with a new freedom. This is but one simple example. While development of the two universes overall is parallel, no exact evenness in all respects is achieved. That is, a concept may be brilliantly alive in the dream universe but unexpressed physically, or for one reason or another an intellectual comprehension in the physical universe may not find expression in the dream universe. But overall there is parallel development.

But the significance is not seen. No energy is not used. Entropy does not exist. It is the appearance only of an effect within the physical perspectives; that seemingly unusable energy helps form your dream universe. That energy from which you seem to get no work physically, that energy which seems to diminish in value, is plowed backward into inwardness, regenerated and used to form universes without which you could not exist even as physical beings.

For without the dream universe you could not exist physically. I am going to quickly embark into the universe of negative matter, but briefly, only to show you the interwoven quality of existence; and how we will follow it in discussion.

I wanted to make this point for your edification. You will know where this material is going. But there is much to be explained before you can grasp the interconnections.

Energy seemingly lost or dissipated or unusable in the physical universe does indeed leave it; but it transfers itself, seeps into the dream universe, and there it helps to insure the existence of the physical universe itself, since the existence of each of these fields or universes is dependent upon the existence of the others, in most actual ways.

The energy is then transformed in the dream universe, and again regenerated and used in the formation of the universe of negative matter, into which it seeps from the dream universe. Our discussions will have to thoroughly discuss the nature of the dream universe before we can hope to consider the universe of negative matter, but it will not hurt if you keep the above mentioned facts in mind.

All the universes, while seemingly closed, have their origins one within the other. I mentioned sessions ago the connection between negative matter and positive matter, concerning the pulsations of energy into atoms in your universe. I also told you that you existed as long out of the physical universe as you existed in it, but I did not say that you existed identically.

In some manners you do exist identically in the world of negative matter, but in most manners you do not. Psychologically, dear friends, you do not. I will at one time discuss a fascinating facet, though important not shattering, concerning identical twins, in which slip-ups have occurred in this line.

Psychologically there is no identity, although some aspects are shared. I am speaking here of identity between your selves and the existence of a parallel self in the world of negative matter. That parallel self would not be recognized by you, as psychologically identical, and is indeed quite independent, and a by-product. But since all beings can be said to be by-products in one respect, this does not imply any lack of equality.

Ruburt’s own experiments with predictions will accelerate his ability to let longer segments, concerning any one particular prediction, in our sessions to come through. You have received some quite legitimate bits and pieces, but the data have not been correctly correlated in your terms, so that you do not know how to put them together. But with practice there will be better, and if you will excuse the pun, more predictable results.

(November 24, Tuesday, 12:00 PM: Before falling asleep, I saw a page of a Time magazine and was reading it. I don’t recall what it said. I asked to see the headlines or cover. I then saw what I think was the cover. It was in big red block type, but blurred.

(November 25, Wednesday, 7:30 PM: I saw my painted trees again, and again with good duration. I also had some other sightings, and heard voices which I could not retain. However, I had an excellent experience which was reminiscent of mine on November 19, in which my left heel felt as though the bed had disappeared beneath it. Today the same sensation came, but this time I felt that the bed was gone from beneath both legs from the calves down. Both feet thus felt suspended in air. I could verify the fact of the bed beneath them in actuality, by exerting a downward pressure.
