I will indeed use an explanation of a particular instance to add to your general knowledge. I have told you that the communication between your landlord’s father and himself was a valid one, and I believe that other communications have taken place. In at least some of these, as in this instance, the man’s wife acted as a relay station.

The 44th session includes much on the basic laws of the inner universe also, as do the other sessions received during this period. As this material continues to expand it becomes more difficult to pinpoint references on a subject to a given few pages.)

The physical image does not immediately disappear, for a number of reasons. The personality, through the inner self, has indeed created or constructed the physical form, but the very material from which it was constructed also contains its peculiar consciousness, as you know.

(Break at 9:30. Jane was dissociated as usual. She felt much better now that the session was under way. Again with her glasses off, she resumed in the same deliberate manner at 9:37.)

Remembering again your material of the spacious present, a portion of personality retention however still surrounds those physical reference points with which the personality was familiar.

Ruburt, incidentally, is to be congratulated, as he is just beginning to read books on physics, in order to intellectually keep up with the material as I give it. Never having read such books before, he was astounded to discover that I knew what he did not. He should be used to this by now.

(Break at 10:02. Jane was dissociated as usual. See the 12th and 16th sessions, among others, for material on the fifth dimension.

I have told you that a plane was not necessarily a location in space, but a field of mental vitality. The material that I have given you on the fifth dimension will here prove invaluable. I have told you that it is space, since this was the beginning of our discussions. During our earliest session I used the term space for simplicity’s part for your sakes, while still explaining most carefully that this fifth-dimensional space was far different than what you consider space to be.

(I presume here that by “earliest session” Seth refers to his first material on the fifth dimension, given in the 12th session. Space as a fifth dimension was however also referred to in the first session. See Volume 1, page 8. This first session material was given to us through Frank Watts, however. Frank Watts is a fragment of Seth’s entity. Seth stated recently that the Seth material begins when he announced his presence to us by name, and this would be in the 4th session. See the 85th session, Volume 2, page 336, for Seth’s statement concerning the Frank Watts material.)

(Break at 10:35. Jane was fully dissociated—far-out as she puts it. “Somebody found a way to get a lot more out of me than I knew I had in me,” she laughed. She had been going at a good pace and my writing hand was nearly cramped.

(End at 10:53. Jane was fully dissociated again, and ended the session with a smile. She was tired, but not so much as at the end of the last session.

(The whole half-hour was a study in psychological sensation. My left foot, first, began to feel airborne, ready to disappear. I wiggled my toes to check its presence. The feeling went partially up my left side. Slight but definite feeling of cavity where chest is. Breathed through nostrils deeply, handkerchief over closed eyes. Suddenly intensity of all sensations deepened. I felt as though I could rise up. Area behind eyelids became whitish, seemed to expand. Tingling sensation.)

(October 29, Thursday, 5:30 PM: I saw a close-up of a child’s baby face, from the 3/₄ front facing to my right. Pink cheeks, parted lips. This was followed by traces of my thrilling sensation. [Also, while painting this afternoon I had felt the same sensation in stronger form.]

(Then my feet [in shoes as I lay on the bed] lying about six inches apart, felt as though they were connected to each other by a bridge or rope of flesh. This was a definite pull, with several minutes’ duration. The sensation was quite strong. At the same time my heels ached and stung.

(At one time all of my limbs felt as though they wanted to lift up out of themselves. The left arm especially felt as though it was stiff, and hinged at the shoulder so that it would lift up stiffly like a lever.

(October 30, Friday, 8:10 PM: A variety of effects. Many instances of my sensation. Once this was very strong when my hands felt crossed upon my waist, although actually they lay by my sides. My feet felt jammed together at the heels quite forcibly, and at one time my hands felt enlarged. Several voices. Once a middle-aged man with graying hair said to a young woman: “You’re my oldest daughter. I have great faith in you.” I forgot other instances before arising.

(October 31, Saturday, 8 PM: Again a variety of effects. Shortly after I lay down my sensation came over me from the feet to the head. Minutes later it came from the head down to the feet. At one time my hands felt very large, and several feet [3] apart, though in actuality they lay at my sides. Once my hands and feet felt as though they would rise up. I had snatches of voices and vague pictures. This was rather a steady progression of experiences.)
