As soon as I had achieved the desired state, I began to feel as though my legs were crossed at the ankles, although intellectually I knew of course that they were not. The feeling was different and quite definite; the pressure of one ankle upon the other being unmistakable.

(I did verify that they lay at my sides, however, simply by exerting a slight enough pressure downward, against the bed, to be able to feel the bed. The sensation lasted for some few minutes, much long enough to be sure of verification. It became quite diversified then, and once again I had the peculiar sensation of being in existence upon two levels at once. I have experienced this sensation a few times before, but not in just this manner. This may be a significant experience; I have the intuitive feeling it represents a definite attempt at psychic travel on my part.
