“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(While Jane was reading over the 42nd session this morning after breakfast, the word disentanglement came to her mind. This, she believes, is the eighth inner sense, making possible transportation and levitation; Seth has briefly referred to these two being dependent upon another inner sense.

(While napping at about 4:00 PM, for a very brief moment Jane experienced the feeling she has described as infinite blackness, or enlargement. See page 309 [in Volume One of The Early Sessions]. It came while she was still awake; she had just relaxed and her eyes were closed. This evening Willy behaved admirably, sleeping through the whole session. It was a warm and windy spring night, very beautiful, and during the session one of the living room windows was open.

(Jane dictated in a voice just a bit stronger than normal; she paced at an average rate, her eyes darkened as usual. She began talking a little faster than she had the two previous sessions. She was nervous as usual before the session began.)

(Here, Jane tapped on my desk for emphasis. Her delivery had slowed up somewhat by now, proceeding at the pace of the last two sessions.)

(I tried to lead Seth on, as I do periodically just for my own amusement. Seth-Jane did not answer my question, as usual; but the superior, you-should-know-better look Jane threw my way made me laugh aloud.)

(Break at 9:26. Jane was fairly dissociated. Seth’s reference to wild spring weather probably came because while delivering the above material Jane paused often before the open living room window. It was indeed a beautiful night.

(We discussed some recent dreams we had had; and while doing so Jane stood up and abruptly began dictating again. Her voice was normal, her delivery slow. Resume at 9:30.)

(Again Jane rapped on my desk. In the following material I will underline a few of the points of emphasis she made.)

(Now Jane gestured dramatically, arms outflung, eyes very dark.)

(Break at 9:58. Jane was dissociated—way out, she said. Also her hands felt fat again. She wears two rings, one on each fourth finger. Both came off easily, normally. Now she could not remove her wedding ring at all; the other ring finally came off at the expense of a bruised knuckle.

(The feeling of swollen hands lasted for a couple of minutes then began to taper off. It is my own observation that Jane experiences this enlargement when she is delivering exceptional material, and she agreed. Strangely I had never asked Seth for an explanation, so now I made it a point to remark that I hoped he would deal with it this evening. Jane’s hands felt normal to her when she began dictating again, in a normal voice. Resume at 10:07.)

(Jane stood again at the open window, looking out as she dictated.)

(Break at 10:32. Jane was dissociated as usual. Resume at 10:38.)

(Break at 11:00. Jane was dissociated as usual. Once again we discussed a subject we hoped Seth would mention after break. This time it was Jane’s clairvoyant experience of April 10. See page 1. Jane resumed dictation in a normal voice at 11:05.)

(End at 11:32. Jane was dissociated as usual. She still had a trace of enlargement in her hands, and could not get her wedding ring off. And I had a trace of enlargement in my right hand.)
