(Edgar and Maria explained their method of healing by hypnosis. Edgar hypnotizes Maria and she, by scanning lights which she sees in the patient’s chest, can read the symptoms. Edgar remarked he would like Seth’s comments on their method.)

(To Maria) And the same applies to you. Now you are deceptive, slyly, in your own manner, to yourself, for it seems to you that you are very aware of your emotions, and that they are clear and out in front of you, and that you are an emotional person, and yet you hide them deeply and the emotions that you show are not the emotions often that you feel. And they are guises to hide other things that you do not face. This you should understand.

(To Edgar and Maria.) Now another thought. You must try to avoid an overconcentration now upon the negative simply because you are looking for symptoms with the people who come to you. This is extremely important, otherwise you can project also. Your own thoughts and feelings should be those of health and vitality so that these alone help in the healing process. Now these are things that you will learn, and I am not scolding you, do not look at me like that, or you will make me cry, but it is the only time I have to get a hold of you, and so I want you to understand what I am saying.

Now I will let you all take a break. You especially over there (Sue) and you (Maria) and you (Joel), and you all know to what I am referring.

(To Maria.) You had your chance, you see, and you did not scan me.

(During break Edgar remarked Seth said he asked foolish questions. Several members of class remarked Edgar and Maria might be giving their patients negative suggestions. Maria remarked Seth yelled at her.)

(Jane gives reincarnational information to Edgar and Maria.)

There is something that you can do. There is something that all of you can do, and I have told the class this many times, but you tend to forget it. You can become far more aware of your own thoughts and feelings than you are now. Now you have much more knowledge available to you. As a rule you do not admit this knowledge. A truth about yourself will pop to the surface of your mind, and you will shove it down quickly rather than take advantage of it. I am not speaking now only to you (Maria), but to everyone in the room, our friend, Ruburt, included.

Ruburt will want to know if the door is closed, so tell him because I want our friend over here in the bridal white (Maria) to realize that each of you should realize that the energy and strength and vitality that rings through this frail form now rings also through that form and that form and that form and represents the energy and vitality that belongs to each of you, and you all have it to draw upon.

(Maria had scanned Jane the previous evening. While Seth was speaking Edgar hypnotized Maria so she could scan Seth and wondered if Maria should tell Seth or Jane her findings.)

(Edgar brought Maria out of trance. Maria remarked there was no change or fluctuation in the lights while Seth was speaking than she had seen in Jane the previous evening.)

You must work that out for yourselves. That is an important part of the class framework, and if you are ready to work it out for yourselves you do so. If you are not ready, I will not tell you. This also has to do with other feelings on your parts here (Sue) and here (Maria), to some extent over there (Joel). And as you all know in this room when you feel ready to accept new experience and work it through, you will do so.

I was speaking about feelings directed toward our friend here (Edgar) and I was pointing at you. I was pointing at you and at you (Sue) and at you (Maria). There were others, also, but the feelings in this case were of a different nature. The same applies to Ruburt and the both of you.
