So what it seems to you or to your scientists occurs outside of you, occurs within you, and now. Not theoretically, not merely in intuitive terms, but altogether at once regardless of the concepts that you attach to the experience. This is what I hope not to teach you, but to lead you to understand and experience for yourselves. To understand that you are each at the meeting points of the universe and of experience. And that what you observe does not necessarily come from outside of you but from inside of you. I hope to give you the confidence to grasp the freedom then to explore yourselves, easily, freely and joyfully as one of our friends, the flowers, might suddenly choose to explore itself in all its uniqueness.

([Joel:] “In one of the stories that Jane wrote, the guy went down to the beach with the wind chimes and (words lost) tree and he selected atoms and that somehow absorbed them through himself into another system until there wasn’t any physical world that we know of left at all, and then as I recall at the end he popped through his whole universe and isn’t that somewhat the same kind of thing? He was the black hole for awhile then he ran around the other side of the set and became the white hole and the whole transfer occurred through him and the whole thing may have been a symbol and that this occurs back and forth and constantly in all of us all the time.”)

(To Bette.) Our friend over here who insists on relating, not from the Richelieu experience but from another, did a very good job of realizing that the energy originates not from this form but from each of you. You need to put both of these reincamational dramas to work. Read and experienced together they will show you different portions of yourself. You find it much easier to relate to the one than to the other because to relate to the other you think would demand too much of you intellectually. And such is not the case.

Now my dear love. Jane may or may not look into your playing cards. I do not know. That is up to her or to Ruburt. As far as I am concerned, I will not bother. Now we have been through this with keener minds than your own. The claims I make, I make not only for myself, but for you and for each person in this room. You can perceive those playing cards as clearly as I can, and if you will not believe me, you will not believe yourself. When I follow through with such demonstrations, I will do so not in the confines of this room and not under conditions set by you, but in a situation in which the claims are clearly recorded with the results in which there is no possibility that anyone will say suggestion is involved; in which no one will be able to say that scientific principles were not clearly set upon and not to satisfy your curiosity! You can, however, prove to yourself by reading the cards. I do not have the doubts, you do.

You are speaking about one specific group of tests and the doubt exists, you see, in your mind and while that particular kind of doubt exists nothing will convince you.

([Ron:] “To a certain extent, you know, you can always— you can bring my motivations into question, but I have like one overriding feeling and that is—I feel that within my own experience I have seen certain indications just from the things that I might be capable of that I could do this myself if, if when and if, because I have entertained the challenge of developing this ability but I in this situation here, I am confronted with kind of a different type of ramifications. What I am saying is, within this, within this context for me and for persons who would like to contribute to a communally verifiable and acceptable body of knowledge there are certain precise ways in which you could go about...”)

([Ron:] “Obviously, no one can make decisions for me.”)

At one time he was highly interested, and I went along because it was a sort of proof that he found extremely necessary. When it was proven to him, I was satisfied. Whether it is proven, in those terms, to you or not bothers me not one iota. That is your thing. I was satisfied with the matter of his need for proof. When he attained it that took care of my end of it.

([Arnold:] “It is relevant to no one of the rest of the class either. Nobody else in the class is interested in wasting time.”)
