(To Ron.) And this applies even to you who feel that you have so many webs in front of your brain that you cannot possibly see through them, and of course you can, and the webs are there because you want to play with them at this time, and so feel free to do so. It is the viewpoint of reality that you have presently adapted, and as such it is purposely not only valid but important to you. You have adapted it for a reason. From your particular viewpoint at this moment you will learn certain things that you think you could learn in no other way. You are like our friend over here (Phil) nine months ago.

[... 2 paragraphs ...]

(To Chet.) Over here, however, is what seems to be a young gentleman from a strange town who is attending class for the first time. Unconsciously he has always been aware that he was a Sumari.

[... 2 paragraphs ...]

There were others who were supposed to come to class tonight from afar who did not come, and they did not come because they were not Sumari. It does not mean that free will does not operate, it simply means that they knew the way and the time was not right. And you would all do much better if you did not question the definition of Sumari, for the Sumari themselves are not structured. You are not supposed to come up with a logical definition of what Sumari is or what you are doing.

(To Bette.) And for our friend over here, Richelieu’s cousin, neither are you supposed to know what each word of Sumari language means. You are to use the words again as stepping stones and that is all. At some time you no longer need them.

[... 4 paragraphs ...]

Now I will tell you briefly that you were involved with last week although I have already told Ruburt and Joseph in their session. You realize that nothing happens in this class that you do not want to happen. That no impetus arises that does not come from you. I do not say, “Aha, my friends need to know this and so I will stuff it down their throats.” The impetus comes from you and therefore what happened last week came from you. You were indeed involved in a variation of an ancient ceremony in which you were all, in your terms, at one time involved. This was your translation of it in terms that you can understand. As what you are now is a translation of yourself in terms that you can understand. I made some comments last week. You do not have them now, but you will have them shortly for the session is not yet typed, but that will help clear up some of the questions that you have in your mind.

[... 3 paragraphs ...]

([Bette:] “You just said something about ancient. Will you define what you mean by ancient? One time in class you said something about what we were doing was ancient now.”)

[... 1 paragraph ...]

([Bette:] “Now when you talk about ancient tonight are you talking about before consciousness, like the physical reality that we are now? Is this the ancient that you are referring to or are you talking about ancient time as we know ancient time?”)

Not as you know ancient time.

[... 4 paragraphs ...]

I would not at this time.

[... 1 paragraph ...]

I will tell you at another time when you are not involved in class. Some goodies are private as far as all of you are concerned and you would not want them bandied about. That remark is to show you my great sense of modesty and how well I fit into a group.

Now I will let you take a Seth break but remember whether you have been here many times or whether you are here for the evening, you are Sumari.

[... 2 paragraphs ...]

(During break a discussion of the above. Lawrence remarked there is no age because there is no time.)

[... 9 paragraphs ...]

You feel it is right because you know that you are old and young, male and female, physical and nonphysical, because you know that you exist in your body and outside of your body and in many bodies. You know that you have a communion with the goats that you tend. You know that when you milk the goats, to some extent you partake of the universe of which you are part. You know that the milking is in itself a sacrifice. You know that the milk becomes a part of your tissues and blood and that you will, in your turn, return back to the earth and that the goats understand this intuitively, and that is why you understand what is happening in this room. But what is happening in this room happens all the time unconsciously within all of you.

Now all of you try again not to try. Right off is better than right on, so try not to try. Try, in other words, to feel what you want to do at a given time. To give you a sense of freedom, if you do not want to do anything, do not do anything, and the others should not be offended. A sense of privacy is always respected here, but also realize the sacred nature of spontaneity and of your own feelings, and do not make logical deductions now. You can make logical deductions when you discuss what happened, and you can be as critical as you want to be.
