“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(Following a discussion of Sumari, Lawrence Briggs remarked how old we all must be.)

(To Sue.) Now you were quite correct, and if you will forgive me, you are in this room now all Sumari.

But you are all Sumari despite your ages; despite your sexes; despite the fact that you think you dwell in bodies that are your own and that mean you, for your bodies, of course, cannot hold what you are.

Now two of you are particularly Sumari. Two of you over here in the corner here (Ron and Laurie) have still to learn that you are Sumari, but it does not matter whether you accept the fact that you are Sumari or not, because you are. And the term Sumari does not matter. It is a word that we have coined for a state of being and you can use any term that you prefer.

(To Chet.) Over here, however, is what seems to be a young gentleman from a strange town who is attending class for the first time. Unconsciously he has always been aware that he was a Sumari.

(To Jeannette.) And you have been aware that you are a Sumari.

There were others who were supposed to come to class tonight from afar who did not come, and they did not come because they were not Sumari. It does not mean that free will does not operate, it simply means that they knew the way and the time was not right. And you would all do much better if you did not question the definition of Sumari, for the Sumari themselves are not structured. You are not supposed to come up with a logical definition of what Sumari is or what you are doing.

(To Bette.) And for our friend over here, Richelieu’s cousin, neither are you supposed to know what each word of Sumari language means. You are to use the words again as stepping stones and that is all. At some time you no longer need them.

But remember, all of you, that your reality is structured not in logical terms as you think of logic, but that your most chaotic dream, our redhead over here (Sheila), the most important symbolic episode and experiences that you have that seem so unstructured to you, and you do not understand them; that these have their own inner structure that is intuitive and you understand that structure very well whether or not you consciously admit that recognition.

(To Pete.) And I appreciate over here, as Ruburt did, your bringing together the concepts of the Sumari cordella and the EE (electromagnetic energy) units. It is a very good intuitive connection.

([Bette:] “Now when you talk about ancient tonight are you talking about before consciousness, like the physical reality that we are now? Is this the ancient that you are referring to or are you talking about ancient time as we know ancient time?”)

Now I will let you take a Seth break but remember whether you have been here many times or whether you are here for the evening, you are Sumari.

(Sumari came through. Some kept looking to Jane for instructions when Seth came through.)

See how you stop to see what you are supposed to do, and how difficult you find it to relate to another person, and how you stop immediately for directions rather than relating directly to the person. How many of you, for example, find yourselves setting up blocks to the emotional feelings that come about as a result of the chant-ing, and yet how many of you find a response within yourselves to the chanting, for you are doing the chant-ing as well as Ruburt or Sumari is.

(After the Sumari experience, Seth came through.)

(Sumari came through and connected Lawrence, Ron and Mark. Then Seth came through.)

Now in the 14th century in what is now called Spain there was a family unit and this was the father (Lawrence) and this was the wife (Ron) and this was the child (Mark) and they have met, in your terms, after many years. Now I think that you should all celebrate their family reunion. You can celebrate with a drink or a Mu, and I suggest that you celebrate with a grand Mu, those of you who know what a Mu is. I do not sing and I do not Mu, so we will let Ruburt sing and Mu.

(The class did a Mu then Sumari came through with another message for the family, then Seth came through again.)

You left your family group. He left his family group before you. You were a female then. He was a male and you were not approved of, and so he told them to go to hell. By now you should know that it meant no difference what you told him.

I bid you all now a fond good evening and I ask you to be adventurous, to be spontaneous, to follow the ways of your own consciousness. I cannot follow the ways of your own consciousness. Only you can travel that route, for there is no other consciousness like your own, and no one can understand the truths as you can understand them, and in understanding them you create new truths. Truths are not done and finished. They are new like the flowers that eternally grow.
