You will forgive me if I do not attend that particular class. Now, I have been a liberal from way back, and yet there are certain circumstances indeed where I become very conservative. To take my clothes off and end up with a woman’s body—there indeed I draw the line! Now as you have known, I have been here this evening, bell and all. If I occasionally take you to task, I am speaking to two members of the class in particular, and if I occasionally take you to task, then ask yourselves who else cares enough to take you to task, and if I do not take you to task, who else will take you to task? When I give A’s they are well earned.

I welcome back our world traveler, and when you are a space and time traveler as well, then I shall also welcome you back. You all travel far beyond the confines of the world that you think you know, and you waken in the morning with little memory of where you have been. And here we have a traveler indeed, for you travel further than most, but you do not want to remember. That is perfectly all right, you go where you go and you travel where you travel, and if you want to tear your tickets up in the morning and forget where you have been, that is your own privilege.

I have spoken to our Lady of Florence over there on several occasions, in the dream state, since she will not hear me any other way. And I have spoken clearly, as indeed is my way. And we have played question and answer games. You know now, I do not have to tell you, that you are not actuating all your abilities. You are not using them to your benefit. Now you are in too many places at once. You do not concentrate on one thing at a time. It will not be too difficult for you to develop your abilities, but it will be difficult for you to learn the self-discipline that is necessary. You can learn self-discipline, and I will be a taskmaster.

Now you hear the words, but I am behind the words and highly creative activities must go on on both our parts, so that my thoughts can be translated into words that will make meaning and sense to you. I must transform certain mechanisms within Ruburt’s physical mechanisms. I must play upon them as a painter plays with color or a musician plays with notes and keys, and he (Ruburt) must acquiesce and join in this creative activity. Then in his books he must further use his creative ability to translate what I have said. We use Ruburt’s nervous mechanism and we change it creatively, as to a lesser extent we hope to change you all creatively.

There is energy within her that is given gladly and is used by the entire physical family. As long as she is certain of your loyalty and support, then she is a firm foundation upon which you may all build. Now, there is something here upon which I shall not dwell in class. —The wine is not as good as the brandy! —However, I will say here that large portions of her energy are diverted to provide supportive help physically for all members of the family. She is not religiously inclined in your terms because she does not need religion in those terms. She is intuitively aware of her position with All That Is, and she does not need to rationalize it.

Now. Our Lady of Florence, it is true that if you go outward and up you will find an inwardness, but this is not the easiest way to go about it. They also serve who only stand and wait. They serve mightily who serve up copies of the nature of physical matter. The effort, again, is highly appreciated, very highly. But you cannot bribe yourself, much less me. One of these days you will have to look inward. There is no other way, and all ways lead to that way.

[... 1 paragraph ...]

All right now, I will fix all of you. I will say good evening to you now, but I will continue what I have to say when you go to sleep this evening. I will continue my dissertation, for I had one planned. If you will not listen to me when you are awake because it is too late, then I shall be like a recording machine so that you learn while you sleep. I may indeed take care of you (to Theodore). Joking aside, I will speak to those now here this evening while you sleep, and you may ask me what questions you have. You may or may not remember. Over that I have no control, and it goes without saying that you can listen or not. I will not force, and would not force, myself upon you. But you are not sufficiently impressed with the reality of your existence within the dream state. You still do not realize its significance. You still do not realize the potential that you have and that you use in the dream state, and that you do not use ordinarily in your waking life. Now when I speak to you, you may remember me, but you may very well see me as you think I am.

Now I give you all again those blessings that are mine to give, and I am here with you very clearly this evening so that you should be able rather vividly to sense my reality, and in sensing my reality to sense that greater reality of your own. So though I say good evening to you now, I will visit again with you whether or not you remember, for a portion of you will know, and the portion of you never forgets such encounters.

It is only because I am so aware of the reality of time to you that I leave now, for I realize that your hour is late. But time is as transparent as the air in this room and your 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 o’clock flies through the air like birds. I speak to you all individually and individually you all know me, so while you all hear the same words individually they mean something different to each of you.
