Now despite my gentle, good-humored remarks about the personality you call Seth II, let me tell you something—You cannot translate the dimensions of his personality. What he is cannot be translated, in your terms.

His thoughts are not translated in those terms because you cannot rightfully call them thoughts in the way you are accustomed to thinking of thoughts. Now, a thought to him is a creative experience. What he thinks immediately is. It is not that he is cold, he has a different kind of thermal quality. He is vast. I am old, but he is vast.

Now, I happen to like my worlds better. Otherwise, I would not come here so often. I have always dealt with emotion, but he deals with those realities that make emotions possible.

There is also a large effort made when he speaks through Ruburt and an effort on his part. He knows a portion of him is filtering down into this room. Now, when the sun shines and the rays fall from the sun down through your solar system, the sun is not consciously aware of its rays nor of the rooms that these rays may illuminate.

I should tell you that I am sorry that I kept you so long last week. My friend Ruburt has been telling me that I must apologize. And I should tell you that I have deep sympathy—but your time is not my time. I do try to take it into consideration. And yet those issues that might bring me to you in a session, have nothing to do with time as you consider it. Now I will let you take a rest period, but I have not said good evening, and you can all be comfortable. Our friend will not be speaking to you this evening, and he is not a bogey man.

Now. When I write my own book, you will read it word by word...and so shall you all, ...and then, there will be tests. I will give you a quiz on every chapter, for my book will soon be written. Ruburt is worried that I will not know how to address myself to his precious public.

He broods over this. However, to begin with, Ruburt writes as Ruburt or, if you prefer, Ruburt writes as your friend Jane. Now, I can write as the many selves I have been, with full knowledge of my background so that I can address myself to mothers, and fathers, and children...consciously remembering my experience in those roles.

Now, remember, try to keep two things in your mind. One: I am who I say I am and these characteristics of mine, are mine, insofar as they can be translated. Remember also that I have one main role, and that role is that of a teacher. And, therefore, I use my characteristics as teaching aids.

When you were children, you knew you were a part of All That Is and you allowed your perception some freedom. That is all that I ask of you now!

Now there is something you do not understand, and so I will set you straight. It has been given in our material—I do not want to upset any of you. You have all seen, I suppose, educational TV. Now when you turn on your miraculous contrivance and you see the teacher on the screen, that does not mean that at that moment, the teacher is on the screen. Do you follow me? The teacher is quite legitimate but he is not there when you see him.

And so sometimes you are given a recording. Now this does not mean that I am not present in such sessions, anymore than it does not mean that the information you are given by the teacher, on the screen, is not legitimate. It is a reasonable facsimile.

I do not mean to infer that our dear friend Ruburt is simply a channel on a TV screen. Now tonight I am here clearly. My total emotional immersion may be far away from your system, in your terms, when I know I am wanted here, therefore I can appear here. For the program has already been taped.

Now when your teacher appears on the TV screen, he is not aware consciously of himself within the image that you see. It is completely a taped production. When the same thing happens in our classes, however, I am here—but to a lesser extent than I am at this moment. I am aware of myself, going with our analogy, within the image that you would see on your TV screen.

Now. I am indeed here this evening with more energy and power than a facsimile. But this does not mean that I am not here on those other occasions when you hear me speak. Do you follow me? This has been given in our sessions and Ruburt and Joseph understand it.

Now you will have your fun trying to figure out whether we are having an original or a taped session.

Now I will not keep you because my friend is reminding me of your hour. However, we have a Dean and now we have a Doc. (Addressed to Doug Dobbs and Lydia.)

Now, you have been intrigued by your own experiences in the past. You felt, however, that those episodes which you experienced were intellectually stifling and did not allow you room to grow—they did not encourage curiosity or honest questioning.

They did not encourage you to use your own abilities and look within yourself. So now I encourage you to look within yourself and to use your abilities, both intuitional abilities and intellectual abilities.

Now you believe that you are using your intellectual abilities, but you have only begun to use them. You have not begun to use your intuitional abilities to anything like their true extent.

Now I invite you all to close your eyes, to listen to my voice and to use it as a launching pad for your own experiences. You can travel where I am. Your self is not a closed door. The inner portion of you is open. You have senses which you have not been using, and I invite you now to use them. I invite you, therefore, to listen within yourself and to use my voice as a beacon in the darkness—a point of safety. It can illuminate many ways and you can feel safe to follow these ways into other personalities that are a portion of yourself—and into other realities in which you also have your existence.

You can use my voice as a light to illuminate those pathways of existence that are now clear to you.

Then I invite you to open up within you those gateways of knowledge, those pathways of existence. I entreat you to find within yourselves echoes of this energy that now fills this voice and to use that energy to prepare you, to prepare you in the journey towards self-realization.

You form this physical reality that you know. You have formed your past lives. You will form your future lives, in your terms, but they exist simultaneously now in ultimate reality. Allow yourselves to feel the strength and vitality that is your own. Allow yourselves to recognize the energy of the universe as it flows through your still-physical frames.
