Now (to Theodore), you will have a session when the time is ripe. I am demanding more of you because you are working. You must, you see, develop in your own way and I do not want to color developments. I am not unaware of your activities, nor of yours (to Vera), but it is tempting for me to take the easy way out. It is, indeed.

In the intellectual development of the idea I shall, of course, decide that you exist. Though to do so I must follow you in your pursuits through the days. For how do I know that you exist if I do not see you? Otherwise, you take it for granted, you see, that your physical bodies are quite obvious. They may be to you but to me they are highly hallucinary.

You think that the bodies that you have are permanent, but it is highly difficult for me to see the specific bodies that you now occupy, since I see you in all your reincarnational involvements and some of them have been highly involved indeed!

I am glad that you find me lovable. But I will trick you into using your minds. You must use all of your abilities. You will need them. And if you do well, you see, you can solve problems now. And if you are good you can skip a class, which means skip a reincarnation. The more problems you solve now, the fewer you will have to solve later. That does not mean that you will not have new challenges in other dimensions, for so you will. Think of the challenges that I have, for I must awaken you, and lead you onward and shake you up.

Now, our friends (Rachel’s neighbors) are not used to me. They will not automatically think that Ruburt is out of his head tonight. And if they hear my voice they will simply think that our friend is simply talking in his sleep. So you see I feel I have some freedom. Of course, we may not be invited here again.

I have indeed been here before, but then I have been in all the residences of our students. To show you that I have utmost concern for your neighbors I will keep my voice low. In any case, I will give you all a break, and if ever you crash into pieces I will pick you up. I may not be able to put them together again but I will pick them up. Now relax. ... is not sugar coated. But in our sessions in class I have spoken—if you will forgive me on a simple level. Leading you, I hope, sweetly and gently up the path that I want you to follow, and broadening your ideas so that you will be able to read the regular Seth material and follow it.
