What Ruburt—someone had better take this down, or my friend will have nervous conniptions.

Now, what my friend Ruburt does not understand is very simple, people. For when my friend Ruburt looks at a person he sees a mind and he automatically grades it... A, B, C, D, E, F and if you fail the grade he washes his hands of you. His ego washes his hands. He is too intuitive, however, and, indeed, too good. So the inner self does not wash its hands, but his ego does not realize this most of the time. It does not want to play.

Now, there is no reason why truth should not be joyful, there is no reason why truth cannot play tricks, even with noses. And note to our friend, Ruburt—there is no reason why truth must necessarily be given in high intellectual tones. Now, I have given material in our own session that is highly legitimate and valid, and it will be used and used well by people who can understand it intellectually. And I have given material that is highly intuitional that will be understood and used by people who know how to use their intuitions. Truth does not follow a single line.

And do not worrythat your friend Ruburt will overdo. Do not worry that he be led on, with questions, so that I speak. I look out for him. But I appreciate your concern. He is stronger than he looks. And so am I.

Now, I am giving my friend a lesson.... My friend Ruburt.... In how to deliver the material. And he will know what I mean. You will not find secrets in the grasses, only weeds.

Intellectually you will understand the material, if you read it. I did not mean, earlier, to give the impression that I was poking fun at our friend’s intellect, only that you can at times prevent him from reaching out to others as he should. I need and needed an intellect through which I could work so that our basic principles could be understood by those who were intellectually inclined. And so that the scientist and mathematicians, the religious men, the philosophers, could find no fault with our reasoning. Through Ruburt’s books we can reach and help many individuals. But they will not be reached as I’m reaching those of you in this room.... Recording or no. Our friend Ruburt himself has not understood the meaning of our classes sufficiently. Nor the energy that exists here and that will reach beyond the confines of this room. Our friend over here (Theodore) has Ruburt’s back. It is not a barrier to him.
