Now, what my friend Ruburt does not understand is very simple, people. For when my friend Ruburt looks at a person he sees a mind and he automatically grades it... A, B, C, D, E, F and if you fail the grade he washes his hands of you. His ego washes his hands. He is too intuitive, however, and, indeed, too good. So the inner self does not wash its hands, but his ego does not realize this most of the time. It does not want to play.

Knowledge does not exist without consciousness. There is no ideal knowledge that can be to given you that exists independently of consciousness. Consciousness knows. There is not an inert ideal thing called knowledge that you can drink up. I am a consciousness, and what you should know I try to tell you, and I try to teach you. But there are no records, despite any of your readings. There are no records, no bodies of knowledge that exist independently of consciousness. There are no records in the sky to be read. There are personalities who have knowledge that you do not yet realize you know. And they can tell you what they know to the best of their ability, as I do. And you learn in your own way, and you don’t learn in your own way.

It seems that our Lady from Florence is not looking inward. It seems that she is not experimenting, it seems that she does not know in some large manner why she is here. Of all of you, she has had the fewest inner experiences, so it would seem, yet she is forbidding her own purposes by being here. And a portion of her personality knows what she is learning. And she knows that I have a spot in my invisible heart for her. And she fulfills a purpose in this class, and in this group, that is highly important, at the same time she is indeed fulfilling inner possibilities and opening roads.

The one thing that I want you to understand and that I try to tell is that information—truth—can only be given to you through the medium of human consciousness. Consciousness means personality.

When I am jovial and when you know me as I am, realize that I have been what I am for a long time—with alterations and changes and developments. And that as you sit here before me, you are far more than you know. And if it seems to you that I have said this on endless other occasions, indeed I have. When I say it and repeat it, I say it and repeat it for a reason. It is so that you will know that vitality is joyful, and that personality has eternal validity and that changes continue. And that as you challenge me, so shall you be challenged.
