Each most microscopic portion of the body is conscious, strives toward its own goals of development, and is in communication with all other parts of the body.

[...] Birth and death contain between them the earthly experience that you perceive as happening within a given period of time, through various seasons, and involving unique perceptions within areas of space — encountered with other human beings, all to one extent or another sharing with you events caused by the intersection of the self and time and space.

All of your attention is focused in a highly specialized way upon one shining, bright point that you call reality. There are other realities all about you, but you ignore their existence, and you blot out all stimuli that come from them. [...]

First of all, the unconscious is not a sponge, indiscriminately accepting material regardless of the considerations of your conscious self. All beliefs or suggestions are first sifted through your conscious mind, and only those that you accept are then permitted their penetration into the other areas of the self.

[...] The various methods simply focus all of your concentration upon a specific area, shutting out any distractions.

[...] All the forces of energy are mobilized at once, while little relaxation is usually involved.

You are all having your own experiences as I said that you would, and they are following the lines of your own development and abilities. [...]

[...] Now I have been very busy with all of you. [...]

[...] Far be it from me to monopolize the conversation, but I expect you all to work and the work can be joyful as many of you know. [...]

(I think Seth commented on Volume 2 of “Unknown” because of all the returns Volume 1 is getting these recent weeks, after initially selling very well. I have no ideas at all about doing a book of my own.)

[...] Today, for example, her stomach muscles haven’t bothered her at all, as they had so much last Monday, as described in the session then.... [...]

[...] Work on the feet progresses along with the knees, and all of that largely originated from the head/neck area.

[...] The material in the sessions is exhilarating, painful, enlightening, perceptive, frustrating, and maddening by turn—and sometimes, it seems, all of those things at once. We’d like to publish much of it, even though it’s hardly all flattering, and even though some of it, because of our ordinary human limitations, may not be very useful in everyday life. [...]

In that sense Jane’s whole self or entity accepts her actions completely, as part of the learning processes available to “it” through her individuality—nor do I mean it does so in any passive or remote sense at all, but in the most intimate, sensitive terms possible, and also, probably, in ways we cannot appreciate now. At that moment of joining with her whole self, whenever her “death” does take place, all will be resolved with the finest creativity and understanding, for I believe that Jane herself will certainly continue “living” as an individual.

[...] This quality has sustained her throughout all of her challenges as well as her successes, and I think it must have been particularly important during her early frightening years with her mother, Marie. [...]

In actuality, since all atoms and molecules possess the potentiality to form in so many varieties, and since the atoms and molecules possess their own generalized consciousness, there is basically a strong inner cohesion and relationship between all cells and molecules, regardless of their patterned structural formation, and the human structure is connected to all other such psychio-physical constructions.

In the same manner that you are dependent upon, say, green plants for your very physical survival, so the interdependence and connections continue in all other fields. The physical construction of your universe, as I have said, is carried on by all life, not just human life. [...]

Fear is all that holds you back. You will most probably work out a physical, technological way of making this possible, before you realize that you could have done it all along.

[...] They spend time searching for their soul mates — but the search involves them in a pilgrimage for a kind of impossible communication with another, in which all division is lost, with the two then trying to join in a cementing oneness, suffocating all sense of play or creativity. [...]

(Finally, and perhaps prematurely: Left untapped so far in all of this is any material from Seth on whether the counterpart and family-of-consciousness mechanisms apply to other species. [...] I added that I hoped we’d soon begin to get the material we wanted on all of those categories, and others, and that Seth’s flow of information on such topics would continue as the years passed. (Neither Jane or I could remember what Monday evening’s session is all about — even though I’d read part of it from my “shorthand” notes to the members of ESP class last night. [...]

We do not feel the need to hide our emotions or thoughts from others, because all of us by now well recognize the cooperative nature of all consciousness and reality, and our part in it. [...]

[...] I believe, for example, that all creativity and consciousness is born in the quality of play, as opposed to work, in the quickened intuitional spontaneity that I see as a constant through all my own existences, and in the experience of those I know.

“The whole self is aware of all of the experiences of all of its egos, and since one identity forms them, there are bound to be similarities between them and shared characteristics. [...]
