[...] Jane said the passage-of-time reference grows out of Mr. Fell’s questions as to when she was coming to New York, and her reply that she saw no use in it until the ESP book was out; then, in May, she wanted to be in NYC to help with publicity. [...]

[...] We were both on vacation beginning that day, and were due to leave for York Beach, Maine, the next day, Saturday, August 15. [...]

As I fell off to sleep I had been thinking of Congress Park in Saratoga Springs, New York. [...]

[...] The York Beach experience was a trigger toward more conscious experimentation on our part.

[...] The arrival of the galleys had excited her, but she felt the excitement stemmed from not from this alone, but from the manner in which they arrived from New York City. [...]

The trip to New York should be made, and if made will be important to you. [...]

[...] For although we didn’t know how they’d done so, our suggestions had helped her tune into a number of dear images of her girlhood in her hometown of Saratoga Springs, New York: She’d seen herself at an amusement park—Kaydeross—located on the shore of Saratoga Lake, just outside of town; she’d seen herself “jumproping very young” in the recreation field across the street from the Catholic grade school she had attended; she’d seen and interacted with family members, all dead now. [...]
