4. In this (725th) session Seth mentions two of my recent inner experiences and one of Jane’s. Each one had to do with strands of consciousness, although in this note I’ll stress only the very unsettling one I had with my “dead” father last Sunday night, December 11.

8. Strange — but recently I visually approached the idea of interrelated consciousnesses in two pen-and-ink drawings for Jane’s book of poetry, Dialogues of the Soul and Mortal Self in Time: I incorporated humanoid features on large rocks. [...]

When Ruburt on the couch sensed himself in the chair giving a session, to himself on the couch, this was symbolic of a new kind of relationship between the two of us. [...]

(Jane and I have had two most pleasant surprises since Seth gave the 860th session on June 13. [...]

[...] Naturally we’d been involved in a number of other projects at the same time, as I’ve indicated in my notes for Mass Events, yet for me especially the publication of the two volumes of “Unknown” Reality meant that we had arrived at a certain point in the development and presentation of the Seth material: In those books, through correlating them in a modest way with our previous works, I’d attempted to show the reader just what the three of us had managed to achieve before Seth led us into Psyche — and, as it developed, Mass Events.

[...] By then I’d answered two of the three letters we’d received today, for both writers wanted to come here—one from California, the other from Australia. [...]

(We were very encouraged by two points especially that Seth had mentioned this evening: that Jane’s thyroid had repaired itself before—which event now could free her from dependence upon medication—and that the Sinful Self’s superhuman image had “cracked and crumbled in the hospital experience.” [...]

[...] Now in the two lives immediately previous he stayed with the body at one time until he was 87 and at another to the age of 92 and at a time when such age was quite unusual. [...]

[...] The two of you, together in three lives, lived together until old age. [...]

2. Seth’s two previous books are Seth Speaks and Personal Reality — but they’re also Jane’s too, of course. [...]

4. The decision to publish “Unknown” Reality in two volumes followed receipt of this preface by some 13 months. [...]

[I] am writing down two dream experiences, each with some nightmare elements, though not too intense. [...]

[...] Jane has had many welcome signs of improvement within the last week or two; I thought it best that she continue doing her own thing that way, with help from Seth at the end of the regular sessions.)

You should both, as Ruburt thought earlier, go out into the public at least one night within a two-week period. [...]

The physical circumstances which you may discover should never be interpreted as conditions in themselves, under which we operate with varying degrees of efficiency, again, but merely as interconnecting correlations between two sets of intangibles. [...]

Also a connection with a supper engagement, with two others beside Ruburt. [...]

[...] We ate during the course of the evening, but do not know whether this would be a “supper engagement, with two others beside Ruburt.”

(The book was then finished, and Jane spent part of the next two days typing up the version for submission to publishers. [...]

[...] He could have read his old poetry over 50 times in the past two years, without realizing what he has finally realized now.

[...] He is producing his books and mine —a double kind of production that entails almost two publishing schedules.

[...] The eye problem has to do, physically, with his present stance—the lack of balance between the two sides of his body, causing pressure on one side of the jaw, and the ear canal, which further aggravates the fullness in the sinus, hence affecting the eyes.

[...] That has to do with his misunderstanding for he has not seen, really, that he is producing work for two personalities that cannot be squeezed into conventional publishing rhythms.

(This is the first session for Mass Events since the last one, obviously — but with an 11-week gap between the two. [...]

[...] In his (unpublished) apprentice novels, Ruburt (Jane) did two or three versions of an episode with a priest he had known in his youth. [...]

Because the episode was used on two or three different occasions, Ruburt could see how this memory changed. [...]
