Seth devoted three full sessions and portions of two others to this Appendix. [...]

[...] She said that a day or two after any given session the memory of it seems like a dream; she has to read it to verify that it actually exists.

[...] I paid him, and both of us joked with him for a minute or two before he left. [...]

[...] I also saw two people dimly. [...]

(After this I saw, as though in the distance, a group of small gleaming knives, carefully arranged in two parallel rows. [...]

In fact, the first two statements, while making no logical sense, do indeed hint of (pause) phenomena that show time itself to be no more than a creative construct. [...]

But as I type this material two evenings later [on Friday], I can note that Jane didn’t paint at all. [...]

“Maybe between one and two thousand years after the Creation a worldwide flood destroyed practically everything, though some species, including man, survived. [...]

I was surprised after the session tonight when Jane said that she still wants to read the second of the two books on creationism I’d bought, not long before she began delivering Dreams for Seth.

[...] Those two beliefs are very important, and put you in a quandary. [...]

It does not matter that Friday night in particular is the time, or that one or two nights, or four nights, in a month are given to social behavior, but that you clearly differentiate, and make that clear.

(Seth made his humorous remark because Willy Two, waking from his nap beside me on the couch, had climbed up in Jane’s lap while she was speaking in trance. [...]

[...] The eyes will become synchronized as the two sides of the body become so. [...]

The two of you have been working much closer together, however. [...]

[...] I must always couch my material for you personally—the two of you, that is—according to your situation and understanding. [...]

The two of you often misunderstand your patterns of behavior in that regard, for they operate at many levels of your lives. [...]

[...] The two of you together then add to the entire psychological structure, and keep the delivery of the material in an excellent overall balance.

[...] If that session is followed faithfully for two months, you will see some nearly spectacular changes.

[...] To some extent, in certain terms, you have upset both of your brothers, and your younger brother’s comments concerning money were directly related to two events in your life.

One, the fact that you left your job, and two, the fact that you have a new car. [...]

The two of you represent the loners, of course, who strike out for themselves. [...]

[...] Now, there is a way—when you are involved in physical activity, and even intense mental work—to change the inner focus so that you are aware of two realities at once and can manipulate quite easily in the physical reality as you must. [...]

Now, there are two simple requests that I have made. [...]

The two volumes of “Unknown” Reality hardly tie truth up in neat packages, though, so that after completing them the reader can claim to know all of the answers. In fact, Seth’s material always raises more questions to stimulate the intellect and intuitions, and these two books are no exception. [...]

[...] It should be obvious that the two volumes of “Unknown” Reality are further ramifications of that thesis, for here Seth shows us the usually invisible psychological dimensions that underlie the known world. [...]

[...] The two sales, including the one just published, are from this group; in addition Jane missed out on other sales from the group because various publishers wrote her that although they liked her material, they already had similar ideas in inventory. [...]

Now earlier Ruburt told you to take two steps to the left. Now you are ready for a further development in your abilities and two steps at that image will help you for there is a highly dependable personality, and we will not argue over the terms, in approximately that area that, in your terms is a composite of Bill and someone else. [...]

(Another two months have passed during Jane’s production of Dreams. [...] She hasn’t even had many private sessions during those breaks in book work; she gave but two private sessions between chapters 10 and 11, and four between chapters 11 and 12. [...]

[...] It’s in Section Two, which section bears the title of If We Live Again itself. Jane often reworks her poetry, but for the book she changed only two words and added one in this verse which she wrote over 16 years ago. [...]

[...] We had looked forward to seeing that handsome little volume ever since she first conceived of it well over two years ago, before she had a title.⁴ If possible, Jane was even more pleased at the publication of If We Live Again than she had been when her book of poetic narrative, Dialogues of the Soul and Mortal Self in Time, came out in 1975. If We Live Again once more carried her back to her earliest days of creative work, which in turn had led to her teenage dreams of becoming a published poet [she was born in 1929]. [...]

Over two weeks passed after the holiday season before Jane finally hand-lettered the first formal entry for her 1982 journal:

[...] I can’t see how or what the two of us can do to change things as they are—but....”)

Wednesday—late morning; situation more or less the same; am having some trouble concentrating on writing though as I did yesterday; yesterday I did two fairly nice ink sketches by the way. [...]

(I was amused during the visit to learn that “two little old ladies, one who’s interested in your stuff and one who’s a skeptic,” waited in the car in the driveway while Michaellen and I talked under the porch light. [...] But in the dark night I could see only the hood of the little car, and never the two old ladies. [...] We talked so long the two ladies must have become quite impatient waiting.... [...]

(As Jane and I worked with the pendulum on Thursday morning, May 8, I thought of two questions for Seth that we’d never asked him before. [...]

Your pendulum sessions can go for three-quarters of an hour now at the most, but regularly, and when you are done the two of you should briefly discuss your goals for the day. [...]

You also thought two opinions were better than one, and you hoped that the man could provide some information about Instream himself, so that you would know better how to deal with him.

(Seth had told us last time that he was near the end of the chapter, but we hadn’t realized of course that he was to finish it with a sentence or two in the next session. [...]

[...] We did think that more than two people should be involved, though, so we decided to ask Bill Macdonell to join us, since he was the only one who knew of our experiments. [...]

[...] Then to end this part of the demonstration, Seth had Jane place her hands side by side on the table, so that we could plainly see the difference between the two. [...]

[...] The brooding also involves your present situation, the two of you in it, and the future.
