([Ron L:] “Is it ever justified to do evil for the sake of good?”)

([Ron:] “In other words, in this reality we are faced with decisions in this context, is it true that our decisions can be only constructive and good or destructive and evil?”)

([Ron:] “Yes, but I don’t necessarily agree with the logic of your answers.”)

(The session came about because Ron B. and his wife, Grace, members of ESP class, requested help with a problem involving their family. [...] The term “Speaker,” as Seth uses it, was as unknown to Jane and me then as it was to Ron and his family.)

(Ten sessions after this one, Seth told Jane and me that we had been Speakers also, although he said nothing about dates or countries, or whether Jane, Ron, or I might be renewing acquaintances made in other, perhaps very ancient times. It seems to me that in this life at least, Ron and I encountered each other in quite a strange way: almost of an age, we grew up in the same small town near Elmira many years ago; we knew of each other’s family — and yet we didn’t meet until 1970….

[...] (To Ron): In a life in the east before the time of Christ, 1200 B.C., you were a member of a body of men who belonged to an esoteric heritage. [...]

([Ron Labadee:] “I wanted to throw something out. [...]

([Ron:] “And you were saying that if you wanted that you could perceive it just as clearly in the same terms that we ourselves perceive it.”)

([Ron:] “Well, what I was wondering is...”)

([Ron:] “Is the All That Is already at where it is going? [...]

([Ron:] “You say All That Is is not static. [...]

([Ron:] “Has All That Is reached the final state of its motion?”)

([Ron L.:] “Do you see, in other words, when Jane is speaking can you see the room or do you only see the room?...”)

([Ron:] “Would you be aware of, say the pot on the table?”)

([Ron:] “How would it appear to you?”)

([Ron:] “Since we are talking about nonconceptual things, you made a statement several sessions ago which I didn’t understand.” Here Ron reads an excerpt from class session 4/27/71 and asks to whom it referred.)

(Ron Labadee had been speaking of the Buddha religion and nirvana.)

([Ron:] “Within this system of meditation you talked about the creative vitality and the creative energy, that the idea of the end goal is the identity of the source of All That Is ...what is Buddha doing now?”)

(Ron told of his interest in meditation and the feelings of depression afterward.)

([Ron:] “You asked us about the meaning of our own lives. [...]

([Ron:] “In your reality do you feel love?”)

(To Ron.) And this applies even to you who feel that you have so many webs in front of your brain that you cannot possibly see through them, and of course you can, and the webs are there because you want to play with them at this time, and so feel free to do so. [...]

[...] Two of you over here in the corner here (Ron and Laurie) have still to learn that you are Sumari, but it does not matter whether you accept the fact that you are Sumari or not, because you are. [...]

(To Ron.) And so you can go along with your own feelings and trust them. [...]

([Ron Labadee:] “Is there any relevance to Oriental forms of meditation?”)

([Ron:] “Is there any hierarchy in terms of the way you look at it the most important?”)

([Ron:] “So you are saying that this type of involvement, because it is the most spontaneously structured, is the most valuable?”)

(To Ron.) And when you are ready to feel a part of the group, you will also participate. [...]

(To Ron.) And when you are ready let us know. [...]

(To Ron.) And when you are ready to communicate, you will communicate. [...]

[...] I think that Ron has got some, Florence has got some. [...] I’m sorry to say that Florence will not be able to come to class next week, so I suggest that we take Sue, instead of Ron or Florence, and all work on Sue this week. [...]

(This morning after breakfast I took the car to Ron Traver’s service station — but the noise, which I’d heard when I started it up — had disappeared by then. Ron and I could find nothing wrong. [...]

(To Ron L.) And our friend, Edgar, judges the self that he knows far too harshly and do not ask me what I mean by the statement. [...]

Now I am glad that you have all had such a jolly evening, and in the table’s energy I hope that you saw a reflection of your own (to Ron), and I hope that you realize, not looking at anyone in particular, that a playful answer will be given and long faces will get you nowhere. [...]

(To Ron L.) Now in another reality sometime you are really going to be put to the task of explaining to personalities who have no idea of the nature of physical existence, that physical existence does indeed exist. [...]

(To Ron) I expect you to release those portions of your personality, and I am looking where you think I am looking. [...]

(To Ron L.) I am not looking for questions, but you have been the emotional mother that you are now trying to forget, and you have been swept by those emotions that you are now afraid to release, and you have felt them as a river and have been afraid of where they would lead you. [...]

(To Ron L.) So if it makes you uptight to know that transcripts of our sessions go to New York, it will doubtlessly make you even more uptight to realize the transcripts go to places that have no names and take up no space. [...]

(To Ron) It is not within your reach now, but they will carry you along. [...]

(To Daniel.) And for our friend over here, and not really for him but for our long-faced friend who is not present tonight (meaning Ron), Ruburt will go for any tests that are fun. [...]

[...] Carol had met an individual named Ron who had visited us here at 1730 two years or so ago—not long after we’d moved in, incidentally. [...]
