“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

In case anyone is uncertain, this probable system of reality is as “real” as ours, according to Seth. To its inhabitants, it is composed of physical matter, and it is just one of an infinite number of systems or universes between matter and antimatter. The people in Pietra’s system have hypothesized the existence of other probable universes, and Pietra is one of the first explorers, mostly because of his excellent medical background.

“I’m ready,” Rob said; and he was. Over the next few weeks he did psychological time exercises suggested by Seth, and tried to be intuitively alert to anything out of the ordinary. In the meantime we had another session, and Rob had quite a few questions ready to ask Seth. According to what Seth told us, this probable self is a Dr. Pietra. He is an older man in his system of reality than Rob is in ours, and while he is engrossed in his painting, this interest is subordinated to his medical work.

“Does Dr. Pietra know I exist?” Rob asked.

[...] So far neither Jane nor I have in any way perceived Dr. Pietra, or had any kind of experience that we would connect with him or this data. [...] The initial 7-hour period mentioned by Seth would have placed Dr. Pietra within our environment early on the morning of June 10, perhaps an hour before our usual rising time. [...]

[...] At break now Jane told me she had a “flash” that my “Uncle Ernie was, or would have been, the son that Dr. Pietra would have in this reality.”

(I told Jane that I had been tempted to ask Seth if I had ever painted a picture of Dr. Pietra. [...]

Your doctor friend is still about, due to an extended rest period (Dr. Pietra); once again and for the last time until autumn conditions are good this time, particularly for an apparition. [...]

[...] It was almost a nightmare—in fact Jane woke me out of it to prevent this seeming reaction on my part, I was fairly sure the dream concerned my father’s approaching death, but certain elements in it were similar enough to Seth’s suggestions about contacting Dr. Pietra, above, to make me tell Jane about it—on the off chance the dream had been more than it seemed.

[...] I have had no success in contacting Dr. Pietra, or at least in retaining a conscious memory of doing this. [...]

[...] (With my probable self and Dr. Pietra in another more advanced reality.) What happened was a very momentary merging on deeper-than-conscious levels.

(“Is Dr. Pietra active at the moment?”)

(I had no luck in trying to contact Dr. Pietra the next day, etc.)

(As of June 24, 1969, I have had no success communicating with Dr. Pietra on a conscious basis. [...]

Seth told us that Rob’s doctor probable self was a Doctor Pietra. [...]
