Slowly, with many long pauses:)

[...] With many pauses, but all intently:) Ruburt has had particular difficulty, however, with “the theory of reincarnation,”²² because as it is usually described, it seemed that people used it to blame as the source of current misfortune, or as an excuse for personal behavior whose nature they did not otherwise understand, and it has been so maligned. [...]

When Seth paused, Rob asked, “What do you have to say about Dr. Stevenson’s idea that this may all be Jane’s subconscious?”

[...] Yet while this was happening, my physical body sat upright in the rocker, speaking without pause as Seth:

(Jane paused by the windows, looking down the rather large room to the door. [...]

[...] It was not necessary for me to ask many questions once she was under way, and finally I ceased altogether as I became confident that she would resume after a pause.

(Here Jane paused beside Bill and picked up the first pen drawing he had made of his sighting of the apparition of Seth.)

[...] It would be best if we did not pause for a regular time.

(Jane now took a rather long pause.)

[...] (Long pause.) He became disenchanted at a young age with the many conflicting schools of truth, so when he found what he finally settled upon, he would brook no interference. [...]

[...] (Pause.) Give us time… He did not feel that any love was his by right, yours or anyone else’s: therefore he did not feel worthy of it, and in the face of any difficulty between you he suspected it, thought then that you no longer loved him.

[...] Long pause, eyes closed.

[...] I do not think you believe me yet, but I must repeat: (After a long pause:) I am searching for a new way to explain this....

[...] Jane was taking many pauses throughout.)

[...] (Pause; one of many.) Consciousness has many characteristics, some of course known to you. [...]

(Pause at 11:47.) If you weren’t tired, I would continue.

[...] (Pause.)

[...] Immediately the same voice effect again manifested itself in no uncertain terms, and Jane then swept through the long poem without pause. [...]

(Jane now took one of the few brief pauses of the session.)
