“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(On Friday, June 21, 1968, Jane sent the manuscript of her dream book to Parker Publishing Company Inc., Village Square Building, West Nyack, N Y. On Saturday, June 28, a card arrived from Parker with this message:

(Within a couple of minutes however Jane came upstairs; the two others had gone inside. Jane walked into our living room and picked up the card from Parker, after I asked her if she had seen the mail yet. A moment after reading the card she smiled and said, “There’s something different about this, isn’t there?”

(We estimate Parker had the book script in hand on Monday, June 23. Their card was written and mailed on June 27, Thursday, giving someone there three days to read the script, perhaps make some sort of evaluation, etc. Note that their response gave both of us the feeling that something unusual was involved. A little later, handling the card perhaps half an hour after giving the impressions, Jane said she got nothing unusual from it; it seemed like ordinary mail, that is.

Our books do not appear under the Parker heading. [...] They are too anti-establishment to be college textbooks, but in their way far too reasonable to be considered eccentricities — in the same fashion, now, that the Parker books are.

The legal department knows how to deal with the Parker books. (Tam told Jane it’s putting disclaimers in all Parker books.) It knows how to deal with fiction. [...]

Under Prentice’s auspices, however, you also have Parker Books — books that are devoted to quite anti-establishment ideas and concepts — to all brands of psychic, scientific, or religious eccentricities, given to matters that contradict the establishment and challenge it at every point. [...]

(Since February Jane has had a series of dreams and psy-time experiences involving her dream book, which is now at Parker. [...]

(In line with a policy of trying to keep abreast of topics brought up during sessions, I mentioned to Jane this evening that I would like more data from Van Elver via the “sepia” discussion, begun in the 424th session; and some data about Jane’s impressions concerning the dream book when it was at Parker. [...]
