(In the opening notes for Session 852 I wrote that starting with the 846th session for April 4, “Seth has been dictating material for Mass Events on Wednesday evenings only.” [...]

How do your impulses affect your future experience, and help form the practical world of mass reality?

[...] They belonged to the (in quotes) “mass mind” of the time, therefore they did not have to feel apart and were accepted.

True creativity is far more apt to flourish, however, to the extent that you are not trapped by the “mass mind”(in quotes), and not tempted by the inducements. [...]

[...] They are often, in fact, maintained en masse by the guides who carry out the necessary plans. Now you may call this mass hallucination if you will. [...]

[...] He gave me a knowing, half-smiling look while delivering this paragraph, for it was obvious that his material was related to a note I’d shown Jane today—one I’m finishing for Mass Events. In it, I’m trying to deal very simply with both the uncertainty principle and the complementarity of light, among other tenets of physics. [...]

5. My side bothers me because I’m not working on Mass Reality. [...]

[...] I think there is a “mass” dream experience, however, as there is a collectively perceived physical life and definite interior conditions within which dream life happens. [...]

[...] I certainly hoped it didn’t. The session contains an excellent opening line or two that I want to use in a note for Mass Events.

(I’m getting used to thinking about Mass Events now, and am organized to start producing the notes for it—something like making myself a new nest within which I can feel comfortable for working on the new job.

[...] Now, our country’s initial concern over the accident at TMI has grown to include deep questions about why we’ve built so many nuclear energy generating plants near large population centers; carrying out a mass evacuation in case of a serious accident at any of those sites seems to present a series of insurmountable challenges.

I am aware that some of this sounds “retrogressive,” for I am even suggesting a situation in which politicians or statesmen would learn to “dream wisely” — and become aware of the psyche, the mass psyche, of their people, and tune into the “private oracle.”

[...] What they see has no physical mass however, but only electrical mass and intensity, which is a different thing.

Their electrical intensity and mass cannot be explained by your physics.

As Seth I’ve produced five previous books: Seth Speaks; The Nature of Personal Reality; The “Unknown” Reality, Volumes I and II; The Nature of the Psyche; and The Individual and the Nature of Mass Events, and Seth is halfway through a sixth book: Dreams, “Evolution,” and Value Fulfillment. [...]

[...] As your intimate daily reality can be involved with and colored by probabilities, brought into your experience by your own desires and beliefs, so is your mass culture, world history, and species orientation colored by probable events that do not fit into your officially recognized idea of physical reality.

He is waiting for reactions to my book (Mass Events), of course—and they will serve to mollify him when they begin to arrive. [...]

There are of course mass constructions, psychic pools whose energy is derived from many individuals, all predisposed because of their own inclinations toward specific areas of activity. Various groups of individuals therefore, massed together, help form and maintain particular areas of your reality. [...]
