(As we began to reread Monday’s session this morning, Jane said something that triggered a reaction on my part that I felt was based on material Seth gave in that session: “I tell my body every day that I trust it, that it can bear my weight when I go to the john, for example,” or words closely to that effect. [...]

[...] Jane further echoed my concern when she said later that she didn’t know what suggestions to give herself when she went to the john, and later got onto the bed. [...]

[...] This was in connection with material on John Bradley’s superiors in, presumably, Chicago. We have no verification on this yet, not having seen John recently. Since John goes to Chicago rather infrequently we may have to wait a while for it.

(Our difficulties made themselves known with a vengeance when I pushed Jane into the bathroom in her chair after 10:30 PM: because for the first time, she failed to be able to get up from her seat on the john, and back to her chair as I stood waiting. [...]

(Eventually, and very reluctantly, since I considered it a sign of a major failure, I ended up carrying her physically from the john to her chair—rather awkwardly but not with as much trouble as I’d anticipated, yet also feeling a bit of a strain in my lower back. [...]

[...] I take Seth’s reference to a friend’s apothecary shop to mean the one operated by our friend in this life, John Bradley, who has been a witness to several sessions. According to Seth, John in his immediate past life ran such a shop in Boston; he moved at that time in the outer circle of our acquaintance. [...] In that life Seth states John died in 1863, which helps determine the time Jane and I lived in our immediately past life also.)

(Yesterday evening we were visited by Dr. John Beahrs and his bride, Claudette. [...]

[...] (To me:) You were speaking to your guest John with some evidence of dissatisfaction in your voice, some self-accusation, some irritation, wondering why as a young man you did not make greater breakthroughs in your art. [...]

[...] Jane has also cut her trips to the john to just three times a day —incredible! [...]

[...] She usually sits at her table in the morning and afternoons until going to the john around 4 PM; usually she doesn’t do much in this period. [...]

(See the 166th session, which John Bradley witnessed. Seth discussed John’s drug-company employer, G. D. Searle, during the session, and stated then that Searle stock was due to fall still more. [...]

[...] The supper was delicious, and afterward John and I had an interesting conversation ranging over a number of subjects. [...]

[...] Seth said that as in the case of John Bradley, Bill should become more and more aware of such experiences, now that he is more familiar with these sessions.

Christ uses parables that were applicable then (as described in all four of the Gospels). He used priests as symbols of authority (Matthew 21:23–27). He turned water into wine (John 2:1–11), yet many who consider themselves quite holy ignore Christ at the wedding feast and think any alcoholic beverage degrading.

It was not Mark’s or John’s. There are particular reasons why I do not want to specify now.
