As soon as I realized that Dreams, “Evolution,” and Value Fulfillment was going to be so long that it would require publication in two volumes, I began to think about how I was going to summarize here all of the material that Jane, Seth, and I had contributed to Volume 1. I developed the hilarious notion that if I did the job the way I really wanted to, this introduction would be as long as that first volume is itself! Then I realized that a lengthy, elaborate introduction for Volume 2 is hardly necessary, and I began to relax about the challenge.

INTRODUCTION

[...] “But I’ve done introductions for Seth’s books, so why shouldn’t he do one for mine?” And yes, the Cézanne material mentioned earlier — see Jane’s introduction for Psyche — had developed into a full-fledged book of its own.

(As we sat for the session, Jane reminded me that she thought Seth would do an introduction tonight for her own book on Paul Cézanne. [...]

I titled this chapter “A Goodbye and an Introduction.” [...] The introduction applies to each reader, for I hope that you will now be able to meet yourself face to face with a greater understanding of who and what you are.

I hope that in one way or another this book of mine has served to give each of you an introduction to the inner multidimensional identity that is your own.

[...] Jane had finished the Introduction to Seth’s book today. This in turn reminded her of her own manuscript, The Physical Universe As Idea Construction, which she discusses in the Introduction. [...]

Now: The Physical Universe as Idea Construction, mentioned by Ruburt in his Introduction, did indeed represent our first formal contact, although Ruburt was not aware of it at that time.

(It is Seth’s interpretation of Jane’s very interesting dream of this morning, and was given after he had finished dictation for the evening on Chapter 22 of his book: Seth Speaks—A Goodbye and an Introduction.

Men and women are born with a desire to push beyond the limits—to, in quotes (amused and loudly): “explore where no man has ever gone before”—a bastard version of the introduction [to a famous television program], I believe. [...]

I refer readers to Ruburt’s Introduction, in which he compares his own creative experiences as a writer to those he feels in our sessions. [...]
