“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

[...] I remarked tonight that it would be nice if Seth would discuss the subject, and Jane replied that she thought he’d do so.

(We’re presenting his material for me because it has good general application: If Seth deals with my own painted images without even mentioning the words reincarnation or counterparts, still he does reveal how such “residents of the mind” make up part of each person’s innate knowledge of his or her own greater — or larger — self.

The other heading he gave helps make up the title for the next chapter (6). Add to it: “Religious and Scientific Cults, and Private Paranoias.”

[...] Ruburt is working well with his beliefs, and seeing them reflected in all portions of his life as mentioned, Dialogues, some other thoughts he had only beginning to be expressed in Tim’s (Foote) letters and his work, are working together in a therapeutic framework.

He should discuss the beliefs that came to mind, with you.

(A repairman finally came to fix the call light, which meant Jane had to be covered while he was in the room. [...] I feel Seth around and he’s got a couple of comments, so I should get them.”

You simply told him that was beneath his abilities, without understanding the sense of loneliness, or the fear generated by conventionalized beliefs, which before his own experiences he did not encounter. [...] Ruburt tricked you quite cleverly into doing the sketches for Dialogues—for your own good, he felt, and you did not enjoy the experience, allowing your beliefs to contaminate your creativity. [...]

(The whole thing was highly distasteful to Rob I believe; he dislikes emotional displays to begin with. [...]

[...] Rob insists that I must have subconsciously given consent, though, and of course he must be correct though I am certainly not conscious of any moment where I did so. [...]

[...] She was sort of flirting with Rob earlier; told us to her he represented the ideal man type and emphasized his “sternness.” [...]

A person who has been cruel in one life may choose to experience conditions in the next life in which he or she understands the meaning of cruelty, but this does not mean that such a person would then necessarily experience an entire lifetime as a victim.

(Jane added that when she listens to me read a session to her, she’ll get glimpses from Seth sometimes of what he’s going to say next time: “The thoughts are mine, but also a mixture, they have a tinge of Seth’s ideas.” [...]

[...] They will indeed appear almost effortlessly — but he must let the burden of worry go.

The dream accentuated Ruburt’s determination to achieve normal motion, and his insistence in the dream that he depend upon his own mobility, rather than, say, a vehicle or conveyance. [...]

You are both doing very well, and Ruburt’s dream—the one in which he looked at his face in a mirror—was excellent, and already shows a change of belief that will be most beneficial. [...]

Such a male will seek sex with prostitutes, or with women he considers beneath him. In a strange fashion, he may even feel that it is wrong to have sex with his own wife, believing that the sex act so degrades the both of them. [...]

[...] Your course of late had led to this development, and is continuing it, and he has also been able to open himself to healing energy sent to him from other sources by Sheri and friend. [...]
